INTERNAL VACANCY

We are seeking a highly skilled, knowledgeable and dynamic Registered Nurse who is passionate about delivering high quality care for a 12 month secondment.  We are hoping to support the right individual to have the opportunity to develop and gain experience in a leadership role.   

This role is  clinically based  and  would also be expected to  undertake coordination of the area and be willing to develop strong leadership and delegation.  As part of the role you will be expected to be a visible role model  on the ward, ensuring quality patient care is delivered.  You should be committed to the development and education of nursing staff.

 Effective management, communication and leadership skills are essential for this role and the individual must be adaptable to service needs and be able to demonstrate initiative and possess a proactive approach to improving standards of practice, education and skills within the ward.

The successful candidate must have a proven ability in supervising others  and a willingness to develop in  managing and controlling the activities of the  ward  in an effective and efficient manner.

You will have excellent communication skills and high clinical standards with a passion to make a difference for patients and staff alike.

You must have previous post registration experience and a surgical background is desirable.

Main duties of the job

Coordination of the ward, ensuring standard work on the ward is carried out. Provide help to staff to ensure high standards of care are given to patients. Leadership and commitment to the ward  and its development. Professional standards and a passion for creating a kind, compassionate approach to care within a team who are supported to excel.
