Allied Health Professionals - Research Nurse/AHP

Research & Innovation Team

This role is based in the Research & Innovation Department at Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust.
You will help find and support patients who take part in research studies, including checking if they can join and helping them understand what’s involved.
You will look after patients during their time in the study, including helping with appointments, collecting samples, and entering data.
You will work with doctors, nurses, and other staff to make sure everything runs smoothly.
You will also help teach others about research and keep learning new skills yourself.
You may need to travel between hospital sites or into the community as part of your work.

Salary: £38,682.00 – £46,580 per annum Closing Date: 04/02/2026 Job Ref: 223-RNA-791-A Location: Hollinswood House Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) Contract: 5 month fixed term contract (until 1st June 2026 currently due to short term funding) Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Monday - Friday, part time hours considered)

Allied Health Professionals - Highly Specialist Cardiac Physiologist

Cardiology

This role is based across two hospital sites and involves working with advanced heart testing equipment.
You will carry out a wide range of heart tests, including ultrasound scans, ECGs, and helping with heart procedures.
You’ll work independently and help support patients, doctors, and junior staff.
You’ll take part in team meetings, training, and help improve how tests are done.
You’ll help look after the equipment and make sure everything is working properly.
You’ll follow hospital rules and take part in research and learning activities

Allied Health Professionals - Senior Specialist Biomedical Scientist

Biochemistry

Help manage a specialist section of the laboratory and support senior staff with daily tasks.
Lead and guide a team, making sure work is done safely and correctly.
Use expert knowledge to carry out and check complex lab tests, and give advice when needed.
Train other staff and help them learn new skills in your area of work.
Make sure equipment and testing methods are working well and help choose new ones.
Work to improve the service and support other parts of the department when needed.

Allied Health Professionals - Specialist Speech and Language Therapist - Shrewsbury & Oswestry

Therapy SLT Outpatients & Community

This role involves working with patients who have complex health needs, assessing them and creating treatment plans.
You will use your specialist knowledge and skills to help patients get better and leave hospital safely.
You will work closely with other therapists and healthcare teams to make sure care is well organised and of a high standard.
You will help train and support other team members and students.
You will give expert advice to others and take part in improving the service.
You will need to communicate clearly with patients, families and staff, and be able to work under pressure in a busy environment.
