Allied Health Professionals - Advanced Physiotherapist MSK US and Injection Clinic (Internal only)

Therapy

  • This role involves providing advanced care for patients with musculoskeletal problems, using specialist skills in ultrasound and guided injections.
  • You will work independently to assess, diagnose, and manage your own caseload, following professional standards.
  • The position requires expert knowledge gained through extensive training and experience.
  • You will support and advise colleagues, share specialist education, and help improve services through audits and evidence-based practice.
  • The role also includes influencing clinical policies and ensuring Trust values are followed in all aspects of work.

Allied Health Professionals - Senior Assistant Technical Officer

Cardiology

  • You will carry out heart, lung, and sleep tests using specialist equipment and record the results.
  • You will prepare patients for exercise and breathing tests and help with their care during these.
  • You will make sure all test results are processed quickly and correctly using computer systems.
  • You will keep equipment and clinical areas clean, safe, and ready to use, reporting any faults.
  • You will support the team with basic admin tasks like ordering supplies and recording patient visits.
  • You will follow hospital standards, training, and values while working respectfully with patients and staff.

  • This role is for a senior therapist who helps patients with complex health needs by assessing and treating them.
  • You will work closely with other health professionals to make sure patients get the best care and are safely discharged from hospital.
  • You will lead and support a team, helping them learn and grow through training and supervision.
  • You will give expert advice to others and help improve how therapy services are delivered.
  • You will also help teach students and staff, and take part in projects to check and improve the quality of care.
  • You may need to work in different places and at different times to make sure patients are always looked after.

Allied Health Professionals - Specialist Occupational Therapist - Winter Escalation

Therapy Inpatients OT

  • To assess, diagnose/interpret and manage own specialist caseload of complex patients as an autonomous practitioner in accordance with Professional Code of Conduct and Health and Care Professions Council Regulations.
  • The post holder will work in close co-operation with colleagues within all Care Groups to deliver a cohesive service that is user led ensuring a consistently high standard of patient care, optimal patient flow that is safe and timely.
  • To work closely with team managers and senior therapists to ensure a robust structure of training, supervision and appraisal is delivered to all members within the team.
  • To act as a source of Specialist advice and support within the Therapy Centre and across the Trust and the wider health service.
  • Engage or lead on projects to develop services and learning opportunities for others including band 5's, assistant practitioners, support staff and students as well as celebrating learning and achievements with the wider therapy and MDT teams.

Allied Health Professionals - Breast Imaging Radiographer

Mammography Department

  • You will carry out breast X-ray (mammography) examinations for patients and screening clients, following NHS standards.
  • You will work as part of a team across hospitals and mobile screening units in Shropshire.
  • You will make sure all equipment is safe, tested, and used correctly, keeping accurate records.
  • You will provide care and support to patients, explaining procedures clearly and treating everyone with dignity.
  • You will help train and supervise other staff and students, while keeping your own skills up to date.
  • You will follow all safety rules and quality checks to keep the service professional and reliable

Allied Health Professionals - Clinical Technologist (Dosimetrist)

Medical Physics Team

  • The role involves helping with treatment planning and mould room services, which support radiotherapy for patients.
  • You will make special shells and devices that keep patients still during treatment, and help plan safe and effective radiation treatments.
  • You will work with senior staff to supervise services, give advice, and support improvements in how care is delivered. Training and professional registration will be required, with support provided to achieve this.
  • You will also help train and guide junior staff, and take part in research and development projects.
  • The job requires careful attention to detail, good communication with patients and staff, and a commitment to high standards of safety and quality.
