Allied Health Professionals - Specialist Dietitian - Renal

Renal Dietitian

This role involves working with patients who have complex health needs, helping to assess and treat them safely and effectively.
You will use your specialist knowledge and training to create personalised care plans and give expert advice to other healthcare staff.
You’ll work closely with different teams to make sure patients get the best care and are discharged safely.
You’ll also help train and support other team members, including students.
The job includes keeping clear records, following professional rules, and helping improve services. Good communication and teamwork are important, and you’ll need to be flexible and ready to work in different areas when needed.

Therapy Inpatients PT

Assessing and treating patients with complex needs, using specialist skills and knowledge.

Collaborating with colleagues across care teams to provide safe, high-quality patient care and smooth discharge.
Supporting and guiding team members through training, supervision, and advice.
Managing your own caseload effectively, making decisions and adapting plans as priorities change.
Communicating clearly with patients, carers, and the wider healthcare team to ensure understanding and good outcomes

Allied Health Professionals - Breast Imaging Radiographer

Mammography Department

You will carry out breast X-ray (mammography) examinations for patients and screening clients, following NHS standards.
You will work as part of a team across hospitals and mobile screening units in Shropshire.
You will make sure all equipment is safe, tested, and used correctly, keeping accurate records.
You will provide care and support to patients, explaining procedures clearly and treating everyone with dignity.
You will help train and supervise other staff and students, while keeping your own skills up to date.
You will follow all safety rules and quality checks to keep the service professional and reliable

You will work closely with other therapists and healthcare teams to make sure care is well organised and of a high standard.
You will help train and support other team members and students.
You will give expert advice to others and take part in improving the service.
You will need to communicate clearly with patients, families and staff, and be able to work under pressure in a busy environment.

Specialist SLT

Allied Health Professionals - Highly Specialist Occupational Therapist - Medical (Internal only)

Therapy Inpatients OT (RSH)

This role is for a senior therapist who works with patients that have complex needs.
You will assess and treat patients, helping them recover and leave hospital safely.
You’ll lead therapy work in hospital wards and support other staff with advice and training.
You’ll help students and team members learn and grow in their roles.
You’ll take part in weekend and emergency cover when needed.
You’ll also help improve the service by sharing ideas and working with managers.

Salary: £47,810.00 – £54,710 per annum Closing Date: 31/12/2025 Job Ref: 223-SOT-828-A Location: The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital Contract: 12 month secondment Hours: 37.5 per week (part time hours will also be considered)

Allied Health Professionals - Clinical Technologist (Dosimetrist)

Medical Physics Team

The role involves helping with treatment planning and mould room services, which support radiotherapy for patients.
You will make special shells and devices that keep patients still during treatment, and help plan safe and effective radiation treatments.
You will work with senior staff to supervise services, give advice, and support improvements in how care is delivered. Training and professional registration will be required, with support provided to achieve this.
You will also help train and guide junior staff, and take part in research and development projects.
The job requires careful attention to detail, good communication with patients and staff, and a commitment to high standards of safety and quality.
