As an Allied Health Professional (AHP) working at The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust, you'll play a key role in treating, rehabilitating and improving the lives of our patients. You'll help people regain independance and live their life to it's fullest.

Allied Health Professionals - Inpatient Therapy Team Manager

Therapy Inpatients PT (PRH)

This role leads a team of Therapy staff to make sure patients get safe, high‑quality care every day.
It includes assessing and treating patients with complex needs and making clinical decisions independently.
Part of the week is spent managing the team, and the rest is spent providing specialist clinical care.
The role works closely with managers and senior staff to improve the service and support new developments.
Strong communication skills are needed to work well with patients, families and the wider healthcare team.
The role also involves training others, supporting audits and helping the team follow Trust values and standards.

Allied Health Professionals - Senior Specialist Biomedical Scientist

Biochemistry

Help manage a specialist section of the laboratory and support senior staff with daily tasks.
Lead and guide a team, making sure work is done safely and correctly.
Use expert knowledge to carry out and check complex lab tests, and give advice when needed.
Train other staff and help them learn new skills in your area of work.
Make sure equipment and testing methods are working well and help choose new ones.
Work to improve the service and support other parts of the department when needed.

Allied Health Professionals - Specialist Occupational Therapist - Frailty

Therapy Inpatients OT (RSH)

This role involves assessing and treating patients with complex needs, using your specialist skills to plan and deliver care.
You will work closely with different teams to make sure patients move safely and quickly through their care.
You will help support and guide other team members through training, supervision and day‑to‑day teamwork.
You will keep clear and accurate records and follow all professional and Trust guidelines.
You will take part in audits and service improvements to help keep the service safe and effective.
You will manage your own workload, show strong communication skills and act as a source of specialist advice across the service

Allied Health Professionals - Highly Specialist Occupational Therapist-Surgery and Gastroenterology

Therapy Inpatients OT (RSH)

This role is for a senior therapist who helps patients with complex health needs by assessing and treating them. You will work closely with other health professionals to make sure patients get the best care and are safely discharged from hospital.
You will lead and support a team, helping them learn and grow through training and supervision.
You will give expert advice to others and help improve how therapy services are delivered. You will also help teach students and staff, and take part in projects to check and improve the quality of care.
You may need to work in different places and at different times to make sure patients are always looked after.

This role involves working with patients who have complex health needs, assessing them and creating treatment plans.
You will use your specialist knowledge and skills to help patients get better and leave hospital safely.
You will work closely with other therapists and healthcare teams to make sure care is well organised and of a high standard.
You will help train and support other team members and students.
You will give expert advice to others and take part in improving the service.
You will need to communicate clearly with patients, families and staff, and be able to work under pressure in a busy environment.

Allied Health Professionals - Specialist Speech Therapist - RJAH

Therapy SLT Outpatients & Community

You will work with patients who have complex needs, helping to assess, treat and support them.
You will use your specialist knowledge and training to make decisions and plan care independently.
You will work closely with other healthcare staff to make sure patients get the best care and leave hospital safely.
You will help train and support other team members and students.
You will take part in audits and help improve how the service works.
You will communicate clearly with patients, carers and staff, and use equipment safely and correctly.

Salary: £39,959.00 – £48,117 per annum Closing Date: 28/04/2026 Job Ref: 223-SPT-169-I Location: Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital Contract: Permanent Hours: Part time - 30 hours per week (Monday to Friday with weekends and bank holidays as required)
