Allied Health Professionals - Specialist Speech and Language Therapist

Therapy Team

This role involves working with patients who have complex health needs, assessing them and creating treatment plans.
You will use your specialist knowledge and skills to help patients get better and leave hospital safely. You will work closely with other therapists and healthcare teams to make sure care is well organised and of a high standard.
You will help train and support other team members and students.
You will give expert advice to others and take part in improving the service.
You will need to communicate clearly with patients, families and staff, and be able to work under pressure in a busy environment.

Allied Health Professionals - Specialist Occupational Therapist - Frailty

Frailty

This role involves working with patients who have complex needs, helping to assess and plan their treatment.
You will work closely with other health professionals to make sure patients get the best care and are safely discharged.
You’ll be expected to manage your own workload and support other team members through training and supervision.
Good communication is important, as you’ll be sharing information with patients, families, and other staff.
You’ll take part in audits and help improve the service by suggesting changes and working with managers.
You must follow professional guidelines and keep your skills up to date through learning and development.

Allied Health Professionals - Radiology Assistant

X-Ray Department

Radiology Assistants help care for patients during their visit to the radiology department and support radiographers, sonographers, radiologists, and nurses.
They help move patients safely, keep areas clean, and make sure equipment is used correctly.
They record patient details on computer systems and follow all health, safety, and confidentiality rules.
They work closely with many different staff and may travel to other hospital sites as part of their role.
They support patients and families, including in difficult or emotional situations, while working as part of a busy team.

Allied Health Professionals - Advanced Clinical Practitioner - Breast Imaging

Breast Screening - Symptomatic

This role involves giving advanced care to people who come to breast imaging services.
You will assess, investigate and help diagnose breast problems, working with a high level of independence.
You will be part of the radiology team and support the learning and development of other staff.
You will work closely with doctors, nurses and other team members to make sure patients receive safe, high‑quality care.
You will help improve how the service runs and make sure patient records and safety standards are always followed.
You will also support junior staff and take part in providing a seven‑day service.

Salary: £55,690.00 – £62,682 per annum Closing Date: 26/01/2026 Job Ref: 223-ACP-954 Location: The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital with cross-site working required Contract: Permanent Hours: 32 hours per week

Allied Health Professionals - Specialist Speech Therapist - RJAH

Specialist SLT

You will work with patients who have complex needs, helping to assess, treat and support them.
You will use your specialist knowledge and training to make decisions and plan care independently.
You will work closely with other healthcare staff to make sure patients get the best care and leave hospital safely.
You will help train and support other team members and students.
You will take part in audits and help improve how the service works.
You will communicate clearly with patients, carers and staff, and use equipment safely and correctly.

Salary: £38,682.00 – £46,580 per annum Closing Date: 26/01/2026 Job Ref: 223-SPT-169-G Location: Robert Jones and Agnes hunt Orthopaedic hospital Contract: Permanent Hours: Part time - 22 hours per week (Monday to Friday with weekends and bank holidays as required)
