Allied Health Professionals - Rotational Pharmacist with STEP Up Development Programme to Band 7

Pharmacy Rotational Pharmacists Team (RSH)

  • The role involves supporting safe and effective use of medicines on hospital wards and in the pharmacy.
  • You will check patients’ medicines, help solve problems with prescriptions, and give advice to staff and patients.
  • You will prepare and check specialist medicines, including chemotherapy, nutrition products and radiopharmaceuticals.
  • You will work in the dispensary when needed, making sure prescriptions are safe, accurate and supplied on time.
  • You will take part in an emergency duty rota to provide urgent medicine advice and supply when the pharmacy is closed.
  • You will study for a postgraduate clinical diploma and help train and support other pharmacy staff.

Allied Health Professionals - Highly Specialist MSK Physiotherapist - INTERNAL

Therapy Outpatients

  • This role involves assessing and treating patients with complex needs in an inpatient setting, using advanced physiotherapy skills.
  • It includes planning and managing your own workload while supporting and guiding junior staff and students.
  • You will work closely with the wider healthcare team to make sure patients receive safe, high-quality care and are discharged in a timely way.
  • The job also includes taking part in research, audits and service improvement work to help develop the physiotherapy service.
  • Strong communication skills are needed to explain difficult information to patients, families and colleagues.
  • You will also help with the day-to-day running of the service and may need to work flexibly across different sites.

Allied Health Professionals - Diagnostic Radiographer

X-Ray Department (PRH)

  • The role involves carrying out X‑ray and basic CT scans safely and to a high standard.
  • You will follow radiation safety rules to protect patients, yourself and other staff.
  • You will look after patients during their scan and make sure they feel safe and cared for.
  • You will work different shifts across days, nights and weekends as part of a 24/7 service.
  • You will keep accurate records, follow all Trust policies and report any equipment problems.
  • You will help support student radiographers once you have completed your induction.

Allied Health Professionals - Inpatient Therapy Team Manager - Frailty

Inpatient Therapy

  • This role leads a team of Therapy staff to make sure patients get safe, high quality care every day.
  • It includes assessing and treating patients with complex needs and making clinical decisions independently.
  • Part of the week is spent managing the team, and the rest is spent providing specialist clinical care.
  • The role works closely with managers and senior staff to improve the service and support new developments.
  • Strong communication skills are needed to work well with patients, families and the wider healthcare team.
  • The role also involves training others, supporting audits and helping the team follow Trust values and standards. 

Salary: £49,387.00 – £56,515 per annum Closing Date: 15/06/2026 Job Ref: 223-ITT-451 Location: The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital Contract: Fixed term: 12 months (Maternity cover) Hours: Part time - 18.75 hours per week
