Allied Health Professionals - Staff Nurse - Endoscopy / Trauma & Orthopaedics

  • The role involves caring for patients by checking their needs, planning their care, and keeping them safe at all times.  
  • You will work closely with patients, their families, and the wider team, making sure any changes in a patient’s condition are acted on quickly.  
  • You will act professionally, follow nursing standards, and speak up for patients to protect their dignity and wishes.  
  • You will help teach and support junior staff and students, while also keeping your own skills and training up to date.  
  • You will help lead the team, manage your workload, and make sure the ward runs safely and smoothly.  
  • You will communicate clearly with patients, families, and colleagues, keeping accurate records and sharing information in the right way.

Allied Health Professionals - Assistant Practitioner in Speech and Language Therapy

Therapy SLT Outpatients & Community

  • Assess patients with communication or swallowing difficulties and provide treatment plans to help them improve and meet their goals.
  • Manage your own caseload, planning and delivering care in community hospitals, care homes, outpatient clinics and patients’ homes, with support from senior Speech and Language Therapists when needed.
  •  Monitor patient progress, review treatment plans and make changes where appropriate to achieve the best possible outcomes.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with patients, families, carers and other healthcare professionals, adapting your approach to meet individual needs.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, follow Trust policies and contribute to service improvement, quality standards and clinical audits.
  • Support a safe and high-quality service, including using specialist equipment, supervising therapy assistants when required and taking part in ongoing training and development.

Salary: £28,392.00 – £31,157 per annum Closing Date: 27/08/2026 Job Ref: 223-APS-654 Location: The Princess Royal Hospital, Telford AND work across the East of the county in a variety of settings to include community hospital wards, care homes and patient's own homes. Allied Health Professionals - Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist Critical Care

Therapy Acute SLT

  • Lead specialist Speech and Language Therapist for patients in critical care, providing expert assessment, diagnosis and treatment for communication and swallowing difficulties.
  • Work closely with patients, families and healthcare teams to deliver safe, high-quality care and support patients through their recovery and discharge.
  • Provide specialist assessments for patients with tracheostomies and those who are critically ill, following national standards and professional guidelines.
  • Offer expert advice, training and support to therapy, nursing and medical colleagues, helping to develop skills and improve patient care.
  • Lead on service improvement, audits and quality standards, making sure care is effective, safe and based on the latest evidence.
  • Manage a complex caseload, keep accurate patient records and help develop a positive learning environment through supervision, teaching and professional leadership.

Allied Health Professionals - Specialist Occupational Therapist - Frailty

Therapy Inpatients OT

  • This role involves assessing and treating patients with complex needs, using your specialist skills to plan and deliver care.
  • You will work closely with different teams to make sure patients move safely and quickly through their care.
  •  You will help support and guide other team members through training, supervision and day‑to‑day teamwork.
  • You will keep clear and accurate records and follow all professional and Trust guidelines.
  • You will take part in audits and service improvements to help keep the service safe and effective.
  • You will manage your own workload, show strong communication skills and act as a source of specialist advice across the service.

Salary: £39,959.00 – £48,117 per annum Closing Date: 28/08/2026 Job Ref: 223-SOT-672 Location: The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital Contract: Fixed term contract to April 2027 Hours: Full time - 37.5 hours per week (Successful applicant will join the weekend rota also)

Allied Health Professionals - Specialist Speech Therapist - RJAH

Therapy SLT Outpatients & Community

  • You will work with patients who have complex needs, helping to assess, treat and support them.
  • You will use your specialist knowledge and training to make decisions and plan care independently.
  • You will work closely with other healthcare staff to make sure patients get the best care and leave hospital safely.
  • You will help train and support other team members and students.
  • You will take part in audits and help improve how the service works.
  • You will communicate clearly with patients, carers and staff, and use equipment safely and correctly.

Allied Health Professionals - Diagnostic Radiographer - CT and/or MRI

X-Ray Department (RSH)

  • Carry out X-ray examinations safely and to a high standard, following all regulations.
  • Make sure images are clear and accurate while keeping radiation exposure as low as possible.
  • Work independently and manage your own workload, including out-of- hours and emergency duties.
  • Support senior radiographers and help train students and junior staff.
  • Care for patients throughout their visit, ensuring privacy, dignity, and clear communication.
  • Follow all hospital policies on safety, data protection, and equipment use.
