Allied Health Professionals - Deputy Radiology Centre Manager

Radiology & Imaging Services Management Team

• This role helps lead and manage the Radiology Centre to make sure patients receive safe, high‑quality care. 

• The post holder will support the Centre Manager in planning services, improving how the Centre works, and using resources well. 
• The role works with clinical leaders to design better patient pathways, especially for cancer services. 
• The post holder will focus on improving services by using data, solving problems, and helping teams work in the best way. 
• The post holder will be responsible for supporting staff, helping them develop, and making sure they can deliver good patient care. 
• The role also represents the Centre across the Trust and works with other teams to meet shared goals.

Allied Health Professionals - Diagnostic Radiographer (18 month Apprenticeship)

Breast Screening - Symptomatic

• Provide safe, high‑quality breast X‑ray imaging for people using the breast screening and symptomatic services. 

• Work as part of a friendly team across hospital sites and mobile screening units in Shropshire. 
• Look after patients by explaining the procedure clearly, answering questions, and giving support when needed. 
• Use imaging equipment safely, follow all safety rules, and complete daily quality checks. 
• Keep accurate records, follow NHS and department guidelines, and help train students and new staff. 
• Work independently, stay calm in emotional situations, and help keep the service running smoothly

Allied Health Professionals - Highly Specialist Acute Dietitian

Therapy Acute Dietetics (RSH)

  • This role is for an expert dietitian who works with patients who have complex needs, especially those who need specialist nutritional support.
  • The job involves assessing patients, creating treatment plans and giving clear advice to staff, patients and carers. You will help lead the dietetic service, support other team members and provide training to students and colleagues.
  • The role also includes keeping accurate records, taking part in audits and helping improve how the service works.
  • You will work closely with other teams to make sure patients get safe,high‑quality care and may need to work flexibly across different days and locations.

Allied Health Professionals - Specialist Occupational Therapist - Medical Team

  • You will help train and support other team members and students.
  • You will be expected to make decisions on your own and give expert advice to others.

  • You will also help improve the service by taking part in audits and sharing ideas.

Allied Health Professionals - Sonographer

Ultrasound

• You will carry out ultrasound scans on different parts of the body, including abdomen, gynaecology, children, and muscles 

• You will write clear reports on your findings and share them with doctors and other staff 
• You will make sure patients are comfortable and understand what is happening during their scan 
• You will work closely with other healthcare staff to provide a high-quality service 
• You will help train students and take part in learning and research to keep your skills up to date • You may take on extra responsibilities when the lead sonographer is away

Allied Health Professionals - Decontamination Technician

Endoscopy Unit (PRH)

  • This role involves cleaning and looking after medical equipment used in endoscopy procedures.
  • You will help set up rooms and make sure everything is ready and working properly.
  • You will keep the department tidy and make sure supplies are always stocked.
  • You may help nurses with basic patient care tasks under supervision.
  • You will work closely with other team members and follow safety and cleaning rules.
  • You will take part in training and learn new skills to do your job well

  • You will help train and support other team members and students.
  • You will give expert advice to others and take part in improving the service.
  • You will need to communicate clearly with patients, families and staff, and be able to work under pressure in a busy environment.
