As an Allied Health Professional (AHP) working at The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust, you'll play a key role in treating, rehabilitating and improving the lives of our patients. You'll help people regain independance and live their life to it's fullest.

Allied Health Professionals - Specialist MSK Hand Therapist

Therapy Outpatients

• The role involves assessing and treating people with complex hand problems, working independently and using specialist skills.

• You will work closely with other therapists, managers and hospital teams to make sure patients get safe, high-quality care.

• You will help support and guide other staff, including students, and take part in training, supervision and service development.

• The job includes keeping clear records, helping with research and audits, and sharing expert advice with colleagues across the Trust.

• You will need strong communication skills and the ability to work under pressure while staying calm, organised and focused.

Allied Health Professionals - Specialist Physiotherapist Neurological Outpatients

Physiotherapy

The role involves assessing and treating people with neurological conditions, using specialist skills to plan and deliver the right care.
You will work independently but also closely with other therapists, nurses and doctors to make sure patients move safely and smoothly through their care.
You will help support and guide other team members through training, supervision and sharing expert advice.
You will keep clear records, follow professional standards and take part in audits to help improve the service.
You will also help manage your own workload, make decisions about patient care and communicate clearly with patients, families and the wider team.

Physiotherapy

You will work independently and as part of a team to make sure patients get the best care and are safely discharged.
You will help train and support other team members and students, sharing your knowledge and experience.
You will take part in meetings and communicate clearly with patients, families and other health professionals.
You will help improve the service by taking part in audits and suggesting changes.
You will use equipment safely and keep up to date with training and new developments.

Allied Health Professionals - Diagnostic Radiographer at Whitchurch Community Hospital

X-Ray Department

• Carry out X-ray examinations safely and to a high standard, following all regulations.

• Make sure images are clear and accurate while keeping radiation exposure as low as possible.

• Work independently and manage your own workload, including out-of hours and emergency duties.

• Support senior radiographers and help train students and junior staff.

• Care for patients throughout their visit, ensuring privacy, dignity, and clear communication.

• Follow all hospital policies on safety, data protection, and equipment use.

This role involves working with patients who have complex health needs, assessing them and creating treatment plans.
You will use your specialist knowledge and skills to help patients get better and leave hospital safely.
You will work closely with other therapists and healthcare teams to make sure care is well organised and of a high standard.
You will help train and support other team members and students.
You will give expert advice to others and take part in improving the service.
You will need to communicate clearly with patients, families and staff, and be able to work under pressure in a busy environment.

Allied Health Professionals - Specialist Speech Therapist - RJAH

Therapy SLT Outpatients & Community

You will work with patients who have complex needs, helping to assess, treat and support them.
You will use your specialist knowledge and training to make decisions and plan care independently.
You will work closely with other healthcare staff to make sure patients get the best care and leave hospital safely.
You will help train and support other team members and students.
You will take part in audits and help improve how the service works.
You will communicate clearly with patients, carers and staff, and use equipment safely and correctly.

Salary: £38,682.00 – £46,580 per annum Closing Date: 07/04/2026 Job Ref: 223-SPT-169-I Location: Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital Contract: Permanent Hours: Part time - 30 hours per week (Monday to Friday with weekends and bank holidays as required)
