Allied Health Professionals - Specialist Speech and Language Therapist

Therapy Team

  • This role involves working with patients who have complex health needs, assessing them and creating treatment plans. 
  • You will use your specialist knowledge and skills to help patients get better and leave hospital safely. You will work closely with other therapists and healthcare teams to make sure care is well organised and of a high standard. 
  • You will help train and support other team members and students. 
  • You will give expert advice to others and take part in improving the service.

Allied Health Professionals - Specialist Occupational Therapist - Frailty

Frailty

  • This role involves working with patients who have complex needs, helping to assess and plan their treatment.
  • You will work closely with other health professionals to make sure patients get the best care and are safely discharged.
  • You’ll be expected to manage your own workload and support other team members through training and supervision.
  • Good communication is important, as you’ll be sharing information with patients, families, and other staff.

Allied Health Professionals - Radiology Assistant

X-Ray Department

  • Radiology Assistants help care for patients during their visit to the radiology department and support radiographers, sonographers, radiologists, and nurses.
  • They help move patients safely, keep areas clean, and make sure equipment is used correctly.
  • They record patient details on computer systems and follow all health, safety, and confidentiality rules.
  • They work closely with many different staff and may travel to other hospital sites as part of their role.
  • They support patients and families, including in difficult or emotional situations, while working as part of a busy team.

Breast Screening - Symptomatic

  • This role involves giving advanced care to people who come to breast imaging services.
  • You will assess, investigate and help diagnose breast problems, working with a high level of independence.
  • You will be part of the radiology team and support the learning and development of other staff.
  • You will work closely with doctors, nurses and other team members to make sure patients receive safe, high‑quality care.
  • You will help improve how the service runs and make sure patient records and safety standards are always followed.
  • You will also support junior staff and take part in providing a seven‑day service.

Therapy Inpatients OT (RSH)

  • This role is for a senior therapist who works with patients that have complex needs.
  • You will assess and treat patients, helping them recover and leave hospital safely.
  • You’ll lead therapy work in hospital wards and support other staff with advice and training.
  • You’ll help students and team members learn and grow in their roles.
  • You’ll take part in weekend and emergency cover when needed.
  • You’ll also help improve the service by sharing ideas and working with managers.

Allied Health Professionals - Band 6 Nuclear Medicine Diagnostic Radiographer

Nuclear Medicine Radiology

  • This role involves carrying out nuclear medicine scans safely and to a high standard, following all radiation rules and guidelines.
  • It includes giving patients radioactive medicines, checking their details, keeping them safe, and explaining what will happen during their visit.
  • You will help manage the daily workload in the Nuclear Medicine suite, keeping patient care, privacy and accuracy at the centre of your work.
  • The job requires using specialist imaging equipment, judging image quality, and keeping all records and safety checks up to date.
  • You will support senior staff, help guide junior colleagues and students, and work closely with doctors, nurses and other teams.
  • The role also involves handling challenging situations with care, staying calm under pressure, and keeping the working environment safe for everyone.
