Allied Health Professionals - Trainee Advanced Clinical Practitioner Emergency

Emergency Centre

This role is for a Trainee Advanced Clinical Practitioner working in acute medicine.
You will care for patients on the Acute Medical Unit and support emergency teams, including evenings and weekends.
You will train while working, completing a Master’s degree and a prescribing qualification to progress to Band 8a.
You will assess, treat, and manage patients, and help improve how care is delivered.
You will work closely with doctors, nurses, and other staff as part of a 7-day service.
You will also help teach others, follow safety rules, and take part in audits and training.

Allied Health Professionals - B7 Pre Treatment Superintendent Radiographer - INTERNAL VACANCY

Radiotherapy

This role leads a team of radiographers who treat cancer patients using radiotherapy.
It makes sure treatments are done safely and correctly, following national rules.
It helps train and support staff, sharing expert knowledge and solving problems.
It checks that equipment works well and helps bring in new technology.
It talks with patients and families to explain treatments and give support. It helps improve the service by planning, auditing, and working with other teams.

Allied Health Professionals - Senior Theatre Practitioner Band 6

Theatres

The role involves supervising the ward or department each day, making sure staff are organised and supported to deliver safe and effective care.
You will help staff understand their duties and maintain high standards of performance and conduct.
A key part of the job is managing patient admissions and discharges so that beds are used efficiently.
You will work closely with the ward manager, deputising when needed, and ensuring policies and procedures are followed.
The role also includes supporting staff development through training, mentoring and appraisals.
You will contribute to improving patient care by working with colleagues across the hospital and external services.

This role is for a senior therapist who helps patients with complex health needs by assessing and treating them.
You will work closely with other health professionals to make sure patients get the best care and are safely discharged from hospital.
You will lead and support a team, helping them learn and grow through training and supervision.
You will give expert advice to others and help improve how therapy services are delivered.
You will also help teach students and staff, and take part in projects to check and improve the quality of care.
You may need to work in different places and at different times to make sure patients are always looked after.

You will assess and treat patients, helping them recover and leave hospital safely.
You’ll lead therapy work in hospital wards and support other staff with advice and training.
You’ll help students and team members learn and grow in their roles.
You’ll take part in weekend and emergency cover when needed.
You’ll also help improve the service by sharing ideas and working with managers.

Allied Health Professionals - Clinical Technologist (Dosimetrist)

Medical Physics Team

The role involves helping with treatment planning and mould room services, which support radiotherapy for patients.
You will make special shells and devices that keep patients still during treatment, and help plan safe and effective radiation treatments.
You will work with senior staff to supervise services, give advice, and support improvements in how care is delivered. Training and professional registration will be required, with support provided to achieve this.
You will also help train and guide junior staff, and take part in research and development projects.
The job requires careful attention to detail, good communication with patients and staff, and a commitment to high standards of safety and quality.
