The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust is looking to appoint a Consultant Gastroenterologist to join our existing team. The Department of Gastroenterology provides a service to the county of Shropshire and Mid Wales and currently consists of 8 Consultant Gastroenterologists and 1 Consultant Hepatologists working across both hospital sites.

One medical and Two full-time Consultant Clinical Oncologists are required for The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust, based at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital. This post is a replacement appointment which attracts 10 Programmed Activities and an on-call supplement. Applications are welcome from those who wish to work full-time, part time or job share.

There is one vacancy which requires site specialist interest in Colorectal/ Gynae but other tumour sites would be considered. Contribution to an out of hours on call rota is core to this role

The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust is looking for a full-time locum consultant in Trauma & orthopaedics who will be predominantly based at the Princess Royal Hospital (PRH), Telford with responsibilities at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital (RSH), Shrewsbury.

The appointee will join an existing team of full time Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeons based at PRH and provide a specialty surgical service for patients with hip and knee disorders requiring hip and knee arthroplasty and revision surgery. The appointee will also participate in a 1:8 on call emergency rota for patients with musculo-skeletal trauma.   (Due to departmental developments, this may change to 1:10 in the future).

An exciting opportunity has arisen for Consultant Clinical Oncologist to join a friendly and dynamic team at the Lingen Davies Cancer Centre based at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital, part of The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust. The Department of Oncology consists of a team of seven Consultant Oncologists (seven clinical, one medical) providing care to the population of Shropshire and Mid-Wales.

The successful candidate would be joining the Breast multidisciplinary team providing Breast services covering Shropshire and Mid Wales. The post holder would provide support to General Breast cancer services, including those referred from the screening programme.

The role would have an emphasis on Oncoplastic Breast Surgery, a service which was established here in 2011. The necessary resources are available to provide this. The successful candidate will be expected to take part in continuing medical education and audit and provide teaching to members of the professional and nursing staff within the hospital, as well as medical students. Those candidates with an interest in research will of course be encouraged.
