We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Consultant Obstetrician with a special interest in managing high risk pregnancies. You will join a team of 27 consultants working across the field of Obstetrics & Gynaecology in a busy District General Hospital. This post is an Obstetrics role covering antenatal clinics, caesarean section lists, intrapartum care and obstetric SPA eg: supporting the Governance Team. Acute care will be resident Obstetrics days and nights. All acute services including the labour ward are based at the Princess Royal site.  Elective activity can be provided at both the Princess Royal Hospital and Royal Shrewsbury Hospital sites. 

There is the opportunity for the postholder to undertake specialty clinics dependent on their skills and the needs of the department eg:  breech / ECV or fetal medicine scanning.

Contribution to an out of hours on call rota is core to this role.

The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital (SATH) NHS Trust is looking for a full-time consultant in Trauma & orthopaedics who will be predominantly based at the Princess Royal Hospital (PRH), Telford.

The appointee will join an existing team of full time Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeons based at PRH and provide a specialty surgical service for adult patients with knee degeneration and soft tissue conditions and injuries, with a specialist interest in knee soft tissue and reconstruction surgery. The appointee will also participate in a 1:10 on call emergency rota for adult and paediatric patients with Musculo-skeletal trauma.

The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospitals NHS Trust is advertising an exciting opportunity within the Ophthalmology service for a permanent Specialist Doctor in Ophthalmology with special interest in Glaucoma. The successful applicant will also provide a general ophthalmology service and will be based at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital (RSH) but will also be required to work cross-site at Princess Royal Hospital (PRH). The timetable will include a variety of outpatient clinic sessions, dependent on competence theatre sessions and on-call. The department currently have 10 substantive consultants.  This role requires the training and supervision of glaucoma practitioners at various levels of experience and therefore good teaching experience is required.

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with a special interest that fits the needs of the individual/department. You will join a team of 27 consultants working across the field of Obstetrics & Gynaecology in a busy District General Hospital. This post is a balanced Obstetrics and Gynaecology role covering antenatal clinics, General gynaecology clinics, and Gynaecology elective theatres. The post holder will also lead Prompt training sessions to support the development of the acute obstetric care. Acute care will be resident Obstetrics days and nights, resident Gynaecology days and non resident gynaecology on call. All acute services including the labour ward are based at the Princess Royal site.  Elective activity can be provided at both the Princess Royal Hospital and Royal Shrewsbury Hospital sites.

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Consultant Obstetrician with a special interest in Maternal Medicine and Intrapartum care. You will join a team of 27 consultants working across the field of Obstetrics & Gynaecology in a busy District General Hospital. This post is an Obstetrics role covering antenatal clinics, caesarean section lists, intrapartum care. Acute care will be resident Obstetrics days and nights. All acute services including the labour ward are based at the Princess Royal site.  Elective activity can be provided at both the Princess Royal Hospital and Royal Shrewsbury Hospital sites.  The post holder will also lead PROMPT training sessions to support the development of the acute obstetric care.

A Consultant Clinical Oncologist specialising in Breast and Colorectal cancers is required for The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust, based at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital. However other tumour sites would be considered. This post is a replacement appointment which attracts 10 Programmed Activities and an on-call supplement.

Contribution to an out of hours on call rota is core to this role.

We are currently growing our elective caesarean section capacity and expanding the Obstetric Anaesthetic team, which provides a unique opportunity for a consultant looking to drive improvements to help us deliver the highest quality care to our patients.

The successful applicant will work obstetric sessions at the Princess Royal Hospital. Additional theatre sessions may be based at either The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital or The Princess Royal Hospital depending upon your special interest. The post will consist of 10 PAs with on-call responsibility at PRH.

The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust is looking for a permanent Consultant Ophthalmologist with a sub-specialist interest in Paediatric Ophthalmology, who will be predominantly based at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital (RSH) Shrewsbury with responsibilities across both hospital sites. Paediatric theatre is currently based at Princess Royal Hospital (PRH) Telford site. 

We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly driven Consultant Anaesthetist with to join our expert and energetic team.

We currently have two vibrant hospital sites each with a varied range of services available. Our hospitals are brimming with exemplary teams of hardworking individuals. Both hospitals will be further enhanced in the future due to a significant investment called the Hospital Transformation Programme (HTP) that will see the creation of one acute hospital site (The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital) which will include a 30 bed Critical Care Unit, an Emergency Department and a Women and Children’s centre and one planned care hospital site (The Princess Royal Hospital) for most of the elective surgery.
