Nursing and Midwifery - Registered Children's Nurse - Emergency Department

Emergency Department

  • This role involves caring for patients by checking their needs, giving treatment, and making sure they feel safe and supported.
  • You will work closely with other healthcare staff and families to help patients get the best care.
  • You’ll keep clear and accurate records about patients and share important information with the team.
  • You’ll help teach and support junior staff and students and keep learning new skills yourself.
  • You’ll help lead the team when needed, making sure everyone works well together, and patients are looked after properly.
  • You’ll make sure the care given is safe, high quality, and follows the rules and values of the Trust.

Nursing and Midwifery - Research Nurse/AHP

Research & Innovation Team

  • This role is based in the Research & Innovation Department at Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust.
  • You will help find and support patients who take part in research studies, including checking if they can join and helping them understand what’s involved.
  • You will look after patients during their time in the study, including helping with appointments, collecting samples, and entering data.
  • You will work with doctors, nurses, and other staff to make sure everything runs smoothly.
  • You will also help teach others about research and keep learning new skills yourself.
  • You may need to travel between hospital sites or into the community as part of your work.

Nursing and Midwifery - Nurse Specialist - Anti-Coagulation

Anti-Coagulation Team

  • You will run a nurse-led service to help patients who need blood-thinning medicine.
  • You will give clear information and advice to patients and their families about their treatment.
  • You will answer questions and help patients, their doctors, and other healthcare staff.
  • You will make sure patients get the right dose of medicine and help prevent hospital stays when possible. Y

Neonatal

  • This role supports the training and development of nurses working in neonatal care.
  • You will help new staff learn key clinical skills and support their ongoing training.
  • You will work with other educators and teams to plan and deliver teaching sessions.
  • You will help make sure staff follow important rules and keep their skills up to date.
  • You will support safe and high-quality care for babies and their families.
  • You will help improve how care is given by encouraging learning and new ideas

Nursing and Midwifery - Senior Theatre Practitioner

Theatres Department

  • To function as an competent clinical practitioner within their designated clinical area. To deliver direct patient care whilst, coordinating and overseeing nursing/theatre practice. 
  • To be responsible for ensuring the delivery of clinical activities during their span of duty. 
  • To ensure that there is efficient and effective utilisation of resources to deliver optimum quality care to their client group. 
  • To deputise for the ward/ department manager in his / her absence, driving forward evidence-based practice and taking responsibility for the supervision of staff and the policies and practices that operate within their clinical area. 
  • To work flexibly to meet the needs of the service.
  •  To participate in the on-call rota if post within theatres
