Nursing and Midwifery - Respiratory Nurse Specialist (Sleep Service & Generic Respiratory)

Specialist Nurses - Respiratory

  • This role gives specialist nursing care to people with breathing problems and supports their families.
  • You will check patients’ needs, help them understand their condition, and teach them how to manage it.
  • You will work closely with doctors, nurses and other teams to make sure each patient gets the right care.
  • You will review patients in clinics and on the wards, using tests and equipment to support their treatment.
  • You will keep patient records accurate and help improve the service by checking data and making changes when needed.
  • You will continue learning new skills so you can give the best care and support to patients with respiratory conditions.

Nursing and Midwifery - TB Clinical Nurse Specialist

Specialist Nurses - TB (RSH)

  • Provide expert nursing care for people with tuberculosis (TB), making sure care is safe, high quality, and based on best practice.
  • Manage a specialist caseload by assessing patients’ needs, planning care, and supporting patients and their families throughout treatment.
  • Work closely with doctors, nurses, and other professionals to make sure care is well coordinated across hospital and community services.
  • Support and guide other staff by sharing specialist knowledge and helping them develop skills in TB care.
  • Help improve services by taking part in audits, service development, and following Trust and national guidelines.
  • Be flexible and able to work in other areas of the Trust at short notice during busy periods or emergencies.

Nursing and Midwifery - Radiology Nurse/ Operating Department Practitioner (ODP)

Radiology

  • This role involves caring for patients with different and sometimes complex health needs, making sure they receive safe and high-quality treatment.
  • You will help with specialist radiology procedures, supporting the team by preparing equipment, keeping everything sterile, and monitoring patients closely.
  • You will work with patients, families and the wider team to make sure care plans are understood and followed.
  • You will keep accurate patient records, give medicines safely, and make timely referrals when patients need extra support.
  • You will act professionally at all times, support junior staff, and help create a positive, safe and well-organised working environment.
  • You will take part in training, team discussions and quality improvement activities to help improve patient care and your own skills.

Nursing and Midwifery - Sister/Charge Nurse - Nephrology (Internal Only)

Ward 35 Nephrology (RSH)

  • You will help care for patients and make sure they get the right treatment.
  • You will support and guide other staff, helping them do their jobs well.
  • You will help manage the ward or department when the manager is away.
  • You will make sure the team works well together and uses time and resources wisely.
  • You will talk with patients, families, and staff to make sure everyone understands what’s happening.
  • You will help train new staff and make sure care is always safe and up to date.

Nursing and Midwifery - Senior Sister/ Charge Nurse - Accident & Emergency

Emergency Department

  • This role is part of the senior nursing team and helps lead and manage the department.
  • You will support staff to do their jobs well and make sure patients get high quality care.
  • You will help make decisions about how the department runs and how money is spent.
  • You will work closely with other teams to improve services and patient experiences.
  • You will help solve problems and support patients, families, and staff. You will make sure the department stays clean, safe, and well organised. 

Salary: £49,387.00 – £56,515 per annum Closing Date: 24/07/2026 Job Ref: 223-SSC-567 Location: The Princess Royal Hospital, Telford Contract: Permanent Hours: 27 hours per week

Nursing and Midwifery - Sister / Charge Nurse - Frail & Complex

Ward 9 Frail & Complex

  • To function as a competent clinical practitioner within their designated clinical area.
  • To deliver direct patient care whilst, co-ordinating and overseeing nursing/theatre practice.
  • To be responsible for ensuring the delivery of clinical activities during their span of duty.
  • To ensure that there is efficient and effective utilisation of resources to deliver optimum quality care to their client group.
  • To deputise for the ward/ department manager in his / her absence, driving forward evidence-based practice and taking responsibility for the supervision of staff and the policies and practices that operate within their clinical area.
  • To work flexibly to meet the needs of the service.
  • To participate in the on-call rota if post within theatres 

Salary: £39,959.00 – £48,117 per annum Closing Date: 24/07/2026 Job Ref: 223-SFC-578 Location: The Princess Royal Hospital, Telford Contract: 6 months fixed term (or secondment for internal applicants) (to cover maternity leave) Hours: 37.5 hours per week
