Nursing and Midwifery - Sister / Charge Nurse - Acute Medical Unit

Acute Medical Unit

  • You will help care for patients and make sure they get the right treatment.
  • You will support and guide other staff, helping them do their jobs well.
  • You will help manage the ward or department when the manager is away.
  • You will make sure the team works well together and uses time and resources wisely.
  • You will talk with patients, families, and staff to make sure everyone understands what’s happening.
  • You will help train new staff and make sure care is always safe and up to date.

Nursing and Midwifery - Trainee Advanced Clinical Practitioner Emergency

Emergency Centre

  • This role is for a Trainee Advanced Clinical Practitioner working in acute medicine.
  • You will care for patients on the Acute Medical Unit and support emergency teams, including evenings and weekends.
  • You will train while working, completing a Master’s degree and a prescribing qualification to progress to Band 8a.
  • You will assess, treat, and manage patients, and help improve how care is delivered.
  • You will work closely with doctors, nurses, and other staff as part of a 7-day service.
  • You will also help teach others, follow safety rules, and take part in audits and training.

Nursing and Midwifery - Matron for Capacity and Flow

Operational Site Management

  • The role is about leading nursing and clinical teams to make sure patients get safe, high-quality care.
  • You will be responsible for patient flow, infection control, and improving the patient experience across the hospital.
  • You will manage staff, resources, and budgets to keep services running smoothly and efficiently.
  • You will help drive changes and improvements in how care is delivered, working with other managers and teams.
  • You will play a key role out of hours, acting as the operational commander overnight when needed.
  • You will make sure standards are met, risks are managed, and patient feedback is listened to and acted upon

  • Lead the haematology nursing team and make sure patients get safe, high quality care.

  • Work as a registered nurse in the Endoscopy Team, caring for a wide range of patients.
  • Lead by example to make sure patients always receive safe, high-quality care.
  • Take charge of the Endoscopy Unit when senior staff are not present.
  • Use evidence-based practice to help the team deliver care efficiently and effectively.
  • Continue developing your own skills through training and professional learning.
  • Support and manage staff, including training, assessing competence, and following HR policies.

Nursing and Midwifery - Senior Theatre Practitioner Band 6

  • The role involves supervising the ward or department each day, making sure staff are organised and supported to deliver safe and effective care.
  • You will help staff understand their duties and maintain high standards of performance and conduct.
  • A key part of the job is managing patient admissions and discharges so that beds are used efficiently.
  • You will work closely with the ward manager, deputising when needed, and ensuring policies and procedures are followed.
  • The role also includes supporting staff development through training, mentoring and appraisals.
  • You will contribute to improving patient care by working with colleagues across the hospital and external services.

Nursing and Midwifery - Digital Lead Nurse/AHP

Neonatal Nursing

  •  You will lead the rollout of the new BadgerNet system for neonatal services.
  • You will train and support staff so they feel confident using digital tools.
  • You will work with doctors, nurses, and managers to make sure the system is safe and effective.
  • You will help improve patient care by linking clinical practice with digital innovation.
  • You will represent the Trust in meetings and share progress with wider networks.
  • You will act as a role model, showing leadership and supporting staff in using digital technology.

Salary: £47,810.00 – £54,710 per annum Closing Date: 04/12/2025 Job Ref: 223-DLN-871 Location: the Princess Royal Hospital Contract: 12 months (Fixed term) Hours: Part time - 22.5 hours per week (22.5 hours over 3 days per week.)

Nursing and Midwifery - TB Clinical Nurse Specialist

  •  You will provide specialist nursing care for people with tuberculosis (TB), helping them manage their health needs.
  • The role involves assessing patients, planning and delivering care, and supporting families with advice and education.
  • You will work independently while also supporting the wider team, taking referrals and managing a daily caseload.
  • Teaching and training staff and patients is an important part of the job, alongside working with other health services to ensure joined-up care.
  • You will contribute to audits, service development, and research to make sure care is based on the best evidence.
  • At times, you may be asked to support other wards or departments in the Trust when needed.
