Nursing and Midwifery - Staff Nurse - Acute Medical Unit

Nursing and Midwifery - Staff Nurse / Midwife

Neonatal

  • The role involves caring for babies on the neonatal unit and on the postnatal ward, including those who need extra support.
  • You will assess each baby’s needs and help plan, deliver and review their care.
  • You may take charge of the ward during a shift and help guide junior staff and students.
  • You will work closely with the whole healthcare team to keep care safe, clean and of a high standard.
  • You will keep clear records, share important information, and support parents with understanding their baby’s care.
  • You will continue to learn and develop your skills and help support training for others.

Nursing and Midwifery - Digital Lead Practitioner

Maternity & Neonates

  • The role focuses on leading the design, rollout and improvement of the digital maternity and neonatal record systems, making sure they are safe, effective and used well across all services.
  • You will guide how these systems are built and updated, using your clinical experience to shape safe workflows and support better care.
  • You will work closely with staff, service users and national partners, leading training, communication and engagement so that everyone can use the systems confidently.
  • You will manage digital midwives, nurses, AHPs and data quality staff, oversee governance and clinical safety, and make sure the digital work aligns with Trust and national strategies.
  • You will also lead major improvement projects, support business continuity planning, and use data to drive better outcomes for patients and staff.

Critical Care Outreach Practitioner Team (RSH)

  • This role provides expert care to very unwell adult patients across the Trust at any time of day or night.
  • It involves assessing patients, carrying out tests, and starting treatments to stop their condition from getting worse.
  • The role supports safe and timely movement of patients into and out of Critical Care and responds to emergency calls.
  • It includes prescribing medicines, using specialist equipment and skills, and working closely with many different clinical teams.
  • The post holder helps train and guide other staff, supports teamwork, and takes part in improving services through audits and projects.
  • They communicate clearly and sensitively with patients, families, and staff, helping to ensure safe, high‑quality care.

Nursing and Midwifery - Theatre Co-ordinator

Theatres

  • The role is about leading and supporting a nursing team to give safe, high-quality care.
  • You will help run the ward each day, making sure staff know what to do and that patients get the care they need.
  • You will work closely with the Clinical Nurse Manager and take charge when they are away.
  • You will help improve how the ward works, support staff learning, and make sure policies are followed.
  • You will also work with other teams and families to make sure communication is clear and patients have a good experience.

Nursing and Midwifery - Antenatal and Newborn Screening Lead Midwife

Specialist Midwives

• The role leads and manages the antenatal and newborn screening programmes to make sure they meet national standards. 

• The postholder to supports pregnant women and families by giving clear information, advice and help with screening results. 
• The postholder provides expert guidance to midwives and other staff, and ensures the team is well trained and supported. 
• To check the quality and safety of screenings by collecting data, carrying out audits and improving processes. 
• The post holder will lead the screening team, helping staff with appraisals, wellbeing and learning. 
• To work with many different health professionals to keep care safe, well‑organised and centred on women and babies
