Acute Medical Unit

  • You will provide safe and caring support for patients, meeting their physical, emotional and spiritual needs.
  • You will work closely with patients, families and the wider healthcare team to plan and deliver care.
  • You will notice and act on changes in patients’ conditions, making timely referrals when needed.
  • You will act professionally at all times, keeping accurate records and following nursing standards and Trust policies.
  • You will support and guide junior staff, helping them learn and grow while continuing your own development.
  • You will promote teamwork, safety and quality, making sure patients receive the best possible care

Nursing and Midwifery - TB Clinical Nurse Specialist

Specialist Nurses - TB

  • You will provide specialist nursing care for people with tuberculosis (TB), helping them manage their health needs.
  • The role involves assessing patients, planning and delivering care, and supporting families with advice and education.
  • You will work independently while also supporting the wider team, taking referrals and managing a daily caseload.
  • Teaching and training staff and patients is an important part of the job, alongside working with other health services to ensure joined-up care.
  • You will contribute to audits, service development, and research to make sure care is based on the best evidence.
  • At times, you may be asked to support other wards or departments in the Trust when needed.

Anti-Coagulation Team

  • You will run a nurse-led service to help patients who need blood-thinning medicine.
  • You will give clear information and advice to patients and their families about their treatment.

  • This role is for a senior clinical practitioner working in the Emergency Department’s Minors Stream.
  • You will assess, treat and discharge patients with minor injuries or illnesses, including both adults and children.
  • You will work independently, using your skills to make decisions without needing a doctor. You will help lead the team, support junior staff and improve patient care.
  • You will also help manage the flow of patients and make sure care is safe and timely. Good communication and teamwork are important, and you’ll help train others and share knowledge.

Nursing and Midwifery - Neonatal Guidelines Adoption Support Nurse (Internal)

Ward 23 - Neonatal

  • Work with doctors, nurses, and midwives to review and update neonatal care guidelines. 
  • Make sure local guidelines match national and network standards. 
  • Help share new guidelines with staff and support training and awareness. 
  • Keep accurate records of reviews, actions, and progress. 
  • Report on progress and support governance meetings to show compliance. 
  • Play an important part in improving care for babies and families through clear, consistent guidance.
