Nursing and Midwifery - Triage Delivery Suite Coordinator (Internal Vacancy)

Ward 24 - Labour Ward

  • This role involves leading shifts in the Delivery Suite and Triage areas, managing staff, workload, and patient flow.
  • You will provide expert clinical advice and support to midwives and the wider team, ensuring safe and high-quality care.
  • You are expected to stay calm under pressure, prioritising tasks during busy and unpredictable situations.
  • You will act as a role model, teaching and training colleagues and students, and supporting their professional growth.
  • You will take responsibility for staffing, resources, and equipment, making sure services run smoothly and safely.
  • You will contribute to improving care standards, supporting audits, research, and new ways of working in line with Trust policies.

Public Health Nurse

  • The role supports pregnant women by helping them make healthy lifestyle changes, such as stopping smoking, managing weight and keeping up to date with vaccinations.
  • It involves coordinating the daily running of the Healthy Pregnancy Support Service and supporting the advisors who work with families.
  • The post holder will also have their own caseload, offering advice, information and encouragement to women during pregnancy.
  • They will work closely with midwives and other health staff to make sure care is smooth and well-organised.
  • The role helps ensure women receive the right support at the right time for a healthy pregnancy and a positive outcome.
