Nursing and Midwifery - Lead Radiology Nurse

X-Ray Department

  • Provide high-quality care and support for patients within the Interventional Radiology team, making sure their needs are assessed and met throughout their treatment.
  • Lead and support the nursing team during each shift, helping staff work safely, effectively and to a high standard.
  • Coordinate daily activities within the department to ensure patients receive timely care and resources are used efficiently.
  • Work closely with patients, families and members of the wider healthcare team to deliver a positive patient experience and excellent communication.
  • Support the training, development and supervision of staff, students and healthcare assistants, helping others to learn and grow.
  • Contribute to improving services by following best practice, supporting audits and quality improvement work, and helping to develop departmental procedures.

Nursing and Midwifery - Clinical Theatre Equipment and Improvement Lead (Internal Vacancy)

Theatres Department (PRH)

  • Lead and support the safe and effective management of theatre equipment across hospital sites, helping teams deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Make sure equipment, stock and services are available, well maintained and ready for use to support theatre activity and patient safety.
  • Work with clinical teams, managers and suppliers to plan, improve and develop equipment services for current and future needs.
  • Lead equipment planning and readiness for hospital transformation projects, including service moves and new ways of working.
  • Monitor risks, costs and performance, providing expert advice and helping to ensure resources are used effectively and safely.
  • Drive continuous improvement, support staff development, and promote high standards of quality, safety and clinical excellence.

Nursing and Midwifery - TB Clinical Nurse Specialist

Specialist Nurses - TB (RSH)

  • Provide expert nursing care for people with tuberculosis (TB), making sure care is safe, high quality, and based on best practice.
  • Manage a specialist caseload by assessing patients’ needs, planning care, and supporting patients and their families throughout treatment.
  • Work closely with doctors, nurses, and other professionals to make sure care is well coordinated across hospital and community services.
  • Support and guide other staff by sharing specialist knowledge and helping them develop skills in TB care.
  • Help improve services by taking part in audits, service development, and following Trust and national guidelines.
  • Be flexible and able to work in other areas of the Trust at short notice during busy periods or emergencies.

Nursing and Midwifery - Parkinsons Clinical Nurse Specialist

Specialist Nurses - Parkinsons

  • Provide expert nursing care and support for people with Parkinson’s Disease across Shrewsbury and Telford Hospitals.
  • Assess, plan and review care for patients with Parkinson’s Disease, including those with complex needs, from diagnosis through to end-of-life care.
  • Offer specialist advice, information and education to patients, families, carers and healthcare professionals to help achieve the best possible outcomes.
  • Work closely with doctors, nurses and other healthcare teams to coordinate care, support safe discharge and improve patient experiences.
  • Lead and support the development of Parkinson’s Disease services, helping to improve quality of care and introduce new ways of working
  • Support the learning and development of staff through education, training and clinical leadership, while promoting high standards of patient care and safety.

Nursing and Midwifery - Oncology Clinical Nurse Specialist

Specialist Nurses - Oncology

  • Act as the main point of contact for patients receiving cancer treatment, providing support, guidance and advice throughout their care journey.
  • Review and assess patients during treatment, helping to manage any concerns, side effects or changes in their health.
  • Work closely with doctors, nurses and other healthcare teams to make sure patients receive the right care at the right time.
  • Provide clear information to patients and their families so they can understand their treatment options and make informed decisions.
  • Help coordinate care between hospital, community and support services to ensure patients receive the support they need.
  • Support the development and improvement of cancer services, while sharing specialist knowledge and training with other healthcare professionals.
