Nursing and Midwifery - Trainee Advanced Clinical Practitioner - Gastroenterology

Surgery (ACP) Team (RSH)

  • This role is designed to train and support Advanced Clinical Practitioners in Gastroenterology, offering a clear career pathway.
  • It involves working across a seven‑day schedule, including shifts and after‑hours duties.
  • The post will progress to Band 8a once a Master’s in Advanced Clinical Practice and an Independent Non‑Medical Prescribing qualification are completed.
  • The trainee will gain a wide range of clinical skills, assessments, and case presentations to meet required competencies. Once qualified, the role will support both inpatient and outpatient services, including running clinics and developing procedural skills such as endoscopy.
  • The position provides long‑term stability in patient care and opportunities to grow specialist expertise within gastroenterology.

Nursing and Midwifery - Lead Clinical Nurse Specialist – TB Service

Specialist Nurses - TB

  • Leading and managing TB nursing services across Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin, and Powys.
  • Providing expert advice and support on TB care, prevention, and control.
  • Managing a team of clinical nurse specialists and ensuring high standards of patient care.
  • Developing and updating TB policies and making sure services follow national guidelines.
  • Improving TB services through research, audits, and education to deliver safe and effective care.
  • Working with other health teams and organisations to prevent infection and improve patient outcomes

Nursing and Midwifery - Clinical Nurse Specialist - Colorectal

Specialist Nurses - Triomic Colorectal (SP)

  • The Colorectal Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) provides expert nursing care for patients being tested or treated for possible colorectal cancer.
  • They manage their own group of patients, making sure diagnosis and treatment happen quickly and within national standards.
  • The role involves running nurse-led clinics, giving specialist advice, and working closely with doctors and other health professionals.
  • The CNS supports patients and families with clear information, emotional care, and advocacy throughout the cancer pathway.
  • They also help improve services, share knowledge with colleagues, and ensure the highest standards of patient care are maintained

Nursing and Midwifery - Menopause Nurse Specialist

Women and Childrens

  • Help set up and run a staff menopause clinic
  • Work independently to support patients with advice and care
  • Carry out patient assessments and lead nurse-led clinics
  • Provide education on healthy living and self-care during menopause
  • Prescribe treatments and make referrals when needed
  • Keep accurate records and follow professional guidelines

Salary: £38,682.00 – £46,580 per annum Closing Date: 05/01/2026 Job Ref: 223-MNS-942 Location: The Princess Royal Hospital, Telford Contract: Fixed term: 12 months (Band 6) Hours: 7.5 hours per week (part time)

Nursing and Midwifery - Bereavement Midwife

Specialist Midwifery

  • Support women and families who experience pregnancy loss or the death of a baby, offering care, advice, and emotional support.
  • Work with another Specialist Midwife to provide a 7-day bereavement service and help develop a high-quality service at SaTH
  • Lead and guide midwives, nurses, and other staff, making sure care standards are met and best practices are followed. 
  • Deliver training and education to staff about baby loss and bereavement care.
  • Work closely with other health professionals and external organisations to ensure families receive the right support.
  • Help improve bereavement services by developing plans, reviewing care, and listening to feedback from parents 

Salary: £47,810.00 – £54,710 per annum Closing Date: 05/01/2026 Job Ref: 223-BMT-933 Location: the Princess Royal Hospital Contract: Fixed term: 12 months (to cover maternity leave) Hours: Full time - 37.5 hours per week (extended hours many be required when supporting families)

Nursing and Midwifery - Sister/Charge Nurse - Nephrology

Ward 11 Nephrology

  • This role involves caring for patients and making sure they get the best treatment possible.
  • You will help lead a team of nurses and make sure everyone knows what they need to do.
  • You will support the ward or department manager and take charge when they are away.
  • You will help plan and organise staff, beds, and resources to keep things running smoothly.
  • You will work with other health professionals to make sure patients have a good experience.
  • You will also help train new staff and make sure everyone follows the right rules and procedures. 

Salary: £38,682.00 – £46,580 per annum Closing Date: 06/01/2026 Job Ref: 223-SCN-927 Location: The Princess Royal Hospital, Telford Contract: Permanent Hours: 37.5 hours per week (part time hours also considered)
