Clinical Support - Band 5 Dental Nurse (Internal only)

Oral and Maxillofacial

The role supports dentists and clinical staff in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery, Orthodontics and Restorative dentistry, helping with many different treatments.
You will help care for patients, making sure they feel safe, respected and well-informed during their visit.
You will follow all hospital rules to keep patients and staff safe, including infection control and equipment cleaning.
You will prepare clinics, organise tools and materials, and help with paperwork to keep the department running smoothly.
You will use good hand skills and stay organised while assisting with procedures, taking x-rays and handling equipment safely.
You will help new team members learn their tasks and take part in training, audits and personal development.

Clinical Support - Ultrasound Assistant - Internal only

Ultrasound

• Support the ultrasound team to provide safe, caring and well‑organised care for patients having non‑obstetric ultrasound scans and procedures.

• Welcome patients, check their details, and help them feel calm, safe and respected during their visit.

• Prepare rooms, equipment and sterile trolleys, and help keep areas clean and ready for use.

• Assist staff during ultrasound‑guided procedures and help care for patients before and after their tests.

• Help move patients safely and make sure their privacy, dignity and comfort are always protected. • Work as part of a busy team, follow hospital rules, and support the department during normal and out‑of‑hours work.

Clinical Support - Healthy Pregnancy Support Practitioner (Internal Only)

Specialist Midwives

Support pregnant women and their families to make healthy choices during pregnancy
Work in the community and in people’s homes, alongside midwives and other health staff
Help women to stop smoking using proven support, advice and treatments
Give clear advice on healthy food, safe exercise, weight gain and taking vitamins
Encourage breastfeeding, safe baby care and recommended vaccinations
Keep clear records, share concerns with the right professionals and help reduce health inequalities

Salary: £28,392.00 – £31,157 per annum Closing Date: 21/05/2026 Job Ref: 223-HPS-374 Location: Telford Contract: 12 months Secondment Hours: 18.75 hours per week

Clinical Support - Healthcare Assistant - Surgical Assessment & Short Stay Surgical

Surgical Assessment Unit (SAU) & Short Stay Surgical

This role supports ward teams by helping patients with everyday care such as washing, eating, drinking and using the toilet.
You will check and record basic health observations and report any concerns to a nurse.
You will help keep patients safe and comfortable by moving them correctly, keeping the ward tidy and preparing equipment.
You will also support nurses with simple administrative tasks like updating records and answering the phone.
You will follow training, work within Trust policies and communicate kindly with patients, families and staff.
You will manage your own tasks during each shift and help create a calm, clean and supportive environment

Salary: £25,760.00 – £27,476 per annum Closing Date: 27/05/2026 Job Ref: 223-HAS-263-A Location: The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital Contract: Permanent Hours: Full time/Part time considered - 37.5 hours per week
