Clinical Support - Healthcare Assistant - Ward 32 T&O

Ward 32 T&O

  • This role supports registered nurses in providing safe and caring support to patients. 
  • It involves helping patients with everyday needs such as washing, eating, drinking and moving safely. 
  • You will check and record basic health information and report any concerns to a nurse. 
  • The job includes keeping the ward clean, tidy and well-organised, and helping with basic admin tasks. 
  • You will work flexibly across different wards and follow all training, policies and safety rules. 
  • Good communication, kindness and respect for patients and their individual needs are essential.

Clinical Support - Dialysis Assistant

Renal Dialysis

  • The role supports the dialysis team by helping with patient care during haemodialysis and preparing equipment and supplies.
  • It involves keeping the clinical area clean and stocked, setting up and cleaning dialysis machines and helping with basic patient needs.
  • The post holder will assist with pre-dialysis checks, monitor patients during treatment and report any concerns to nursing staff.
  • They will learn to carry out dialysis tasks under supervision and complete the Renal Unit Accreditation Programme.
  • The role also requires good communication, teamwork and a kind, respectful approach to patients and families.

Clinical Support - Healthcare Assistant - ENT Outpatients Department

Outpatients ENT

  • Take responsibility for smooth running identified clinical activity 
  • Ensuring equipment is available for use including decontamination of scopes 
  • To support patients during their outpatient appointment.
  • Ensuring cleanliness of the department and maintaining IPC standards 
  • Escort patients to and from other wards and departments under the direct instruction of the registered nurses.

Clinical Support - Healthcare Assistant - Theatres PRH

Theatres

  • This role is part of a team that helps patients before, during and after surgery.
  • You will work across different operating theatres, helping to keep patients safe and comfortable.
  • You will follow hospital rules and safety checks to make sure everything is clean and ready to use.
  • You will help record important information about each patient and the equipment used.
  • You will support trained staff and may help teach new team members.
  • You will take part in training and help improve how things are done in the theatre.

Clinical Support - Emergency Care Technician

Accident & Emergency Department

  • Supports patients of all ages who attend the Emergency Department with illness or injury, working as part of a 24-hour service.
  • Works closely with nurses and other healthcare professionals to help assess, care for and support patients during their treatment.
  • Provides kind, safe and high-quality care, including helping patients who may be upset, distressed or anxious.
  • Uses a range of clinical skills and equipment, following training, to support patient care and treatment.
  • Communicates clearly with patients, families and colleagues, treating everyone with dignity, respect and understanding.
  • Works in a busy and fast-paced environment, helping to keep patients safe while following infection control, safety and hospital policies.
