Clinical Support - Housekeeper

Ward 38 - Gastroenterology (RSH)

The role involves helping to keep the ward clean, tidy, and safe, including looking after equipment, beds, and supplies.
You will support staff by preparing patient areas, giving out meals and drinks, and helping with non-clinical tasks that make patients comfortable.
You will check stock levels, make sure items are in date, and report any problems to the nursing team. • You will communicate well with patients, visitors, and staff, answer the phone politely, and pass on messages clearly.
You will follow Trust policies, attend training, and work as part of the team while always acting in a professional and respectful way.

Clinical Support - AAA Screening Technician

AAA Screening Programme

This role involves carrying out ultrasound scans to help detect abdominal aortic aneurysms (AAA) as part of a community screening programme for men.
You will explain the screening process clearly, answer questions, and help people feel comfortable and informed during their appointment.
You will use specialist equipment to perform abdominal scans and record accurate results in line with national guidelines. The role includes reviewing scan information, reporting any concerns, and maintaining high standards of patient care and safety.
You will work closely with other healthcare professionals and screening staff to provide an effective service. The position requires good communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently following training and accreditation.
Travel to community clinics and other locations across the programme area is required.

Clinical Support - Phlebotomy Supervisor

Phlebotomy

This role involves taking blood samples from adults and children aged 12 months and older.
You will work in hospitals, clinics, and the community, helping to label and deliver samples safely.
You’ll help train new staff and support your team with planning and supervision.
You’ll use different tools and systems to do your job well and keep things clean and organised.
You’ll work different shifts, including weekends and holidays, and may be asked to cover for others.
You’ll need to follow safety rules, work carefully, and keep learning new skills.

Clinical Support - Healthcare Assistant - Ward 27

Ward 27

This role supports registered nurses in providing safe and caring support to patients.
It involves helping patients with everyday needs such as washing, eating, drinking and moving safely.
You will check and record basic health information and report any concerns to a nurse.
The job includes keeping the ward clean, tidy and well-organised, and helping with basic admin tasks.
You will work flexibly across different wards and follow all training, policies and safety rules.
Good communication, kindness and respect for patients and their individual needs are essential.

Clinical Support - Newborn Hearing Screener

Midwifery Screening Department

Help make sure newborn babies receive their hearing screening test as soon as possible after birth.
Carry out hearing screening tests for babies in hospital, clinic and community settings, following national standards and guidelines.
Support and reassure parents and carers by explaining the screening process and sharing results in a clear and caring way.
Keep accurate records and arrange follow-up appointments or referrals when further hearing checks are needed.
Work closely with maternity staff and other healthcare professionals to provide a safe, high-quality screening service.
Help deliver a seven-day service, including some weekends and bank holidays, while maintaining a family-friendly and patient-focused approach.

Clinical Support - Assistant Practitioner in Speech and Language Therapy

Therapy SLT Outpatients & Community

Assess patients with communication or swallowing difficulties and provide treatment plans to help them improve and meet their goals.
Manage your own caseload, planning and delivering care in community hospitals, care homes, outpatient clinics and patients’ homes, with support from senior Speech and Language Therapists when needed.
Monitor patient progress, review treatment plans and make changes where appropriate to achieve the best possible outcomes.
Communicate clearly and effectively with patients, families, carers and other healthcare professionals, adapting your approach to meet individual needs.
Maintain accurate patient records, follow Trust policies and contribute to service improvement, quality standards and clinical audits.
Support a safe and high-quality service, including using specialist equipment, supervising therapy assistants when required and taking part in ongoing training and development.

Salary: £28,392.00 – £31,157 per annum Closing Date: 29/10/2026 Job Ref: 223-APS-654-A Location: The Princess Royal Hospital, Telford AND work across the East of the county in a variety of settings to include community hospital wards, care homes and patient's own homes. Contract: Permanent Hours: Part time - 29 hours per week
