Clinical Support - Healthcare Assistant - Acute Medicine

Acute Medical Unit

  • This role supports nurses by helping to care for patients in hospital wards and departments.
  • You will help patients with washing, eating, drinking, and going to the toilet.
  • You will check and record things like temperature, blood pressure, and other health signs.
  • You will help move patients safely and take them to other areas when needed.
  • You will help keep the ward clean, tidy, and ready for care and procedures.
  • You will also help with basic paperwork and talk kindly with patients, families, and staff.

Clinical Support - Higher Therapy Support Worker

Therapy Inpatient Assistants (RSH)

  • To support the qualified therapist (Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist Dietitian and Speech and Language Therapist) in providing a high standard of Therapy intervention following protocols agreed by professional colleagues.

  • To work as a positive and proactive member of the multidisciplinary team
  • To perform screening assessments and treatment programmes as per agreed protocols with delegated patients.
  • To hold responsibility for own delegated caseload following discussion with the Therapist.
  • To work within a competency framework to ensure safe practise.
  • To use the Trust values at all times as a framework for own behaviour and encourage others to do likewise, ensuring the values underpin all that is done by the Therapy teams.

Clinical Support - Healthcare Assistant - Gynaecology Services

Gynaecology

Clinical Support - Phlebotomy Supervisor

Phlebotomy

  • This role involves taking blood samples from adults and children aged 12 months and older.
  • You will work in hospitals, clinics, and the community, helping to label and deliver samples safely.
  • You’ll help train new staff and support your team with planning and supervision.
  • You’ll use different tools and systems to do your job well and keep things clean and organised.
  • You’ll work different shifts, including weekends and holidays, and may be asked to cover for others.
  • You’ll need to follow safety rules, work carefully, and keep learning new skills

Clinical Support - Hospital At Night Clinical Support Worker

Hospital at Night Team

• This role is part of the Hospital at Night team, which helps provide safe and effective care for patients outside normal hours. 

• You will work under the guidance of a Nurse Practitioner and other team members. 
• You will be trained to carry out a range of clinical tasks, such as taking blood samples, recording ECGs, and inserting catheters. 
• You will support patients and staff, prepare for treatments, and help with patient observations like blood pressure and temperature. 
• You will make sure patients are treated with dignity and respect, keep information confidential, and report any safety concerns. 
• You may also help with moving patients, collecting test results, and providing administrative support when needed.
