Clinical Support - Healthy Pregnancy Support Practitioner

Specialist Midwives

INTERNAL VACANCY ONLY

As part of the Healthy Pregnancy Support Service (HPSS), the Practitioner will work within Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin alongside midwives and independently within community settings and patients’ homes to provide an evidenced based behaviour change healthy lifestyle service. The needs of patients will be at the forefront of the service, which aims to improve the general health of pregnant women, by encouraging healthy life choices e.g. quitting smoking and healthy diet and exercise.   Working with women and their families  to adopt a healthy lifestyle in pregnancy, the main priority will be to focus on and support smoking cessation, as this is a proven modifiable change that will reduce the risk of perinatal and infant morbidity and mortality. Another key priority will be to educate and encourage a healthy safe diet and maintain a healthy weight gain in pregnancy; promote the use of healthy start vitamins, promote the benefits and encourage the uptake of breastfeeding and recommended vaccination programmes for pregnant women.

Clinical Support - Housekeeper - Emergency Department

Accident & Emergency Department (PRH)

An opportunity has arisen to recruit  a Housekeeper to work within the Emergency Department at The Princess Royal  Hospital.

We are looking for enthusiastic, reliable, hardworking, Housekeeper who will work as an integral part of the team ensuring a clean, safe and comfortable environment at all times.

Applicants must have excellent communication and organisational skills and be able to work under non-direct supervision, prioritising your own workload.  It is necessary to have a flexible approach within this role and be able to respond appropriately to the demands of an ever changing workload.

You will need excellent interpersonal skills, as you will be liaising with and helping patients throughout the working day. You will also be required to communicate with all levels of staff both face to face and over the telephone.

The post holder will be expected to take ownership of the stock levels within the department, to include ordering of stock.  You will also be required to maintain a high level of cleanliness within the department.

Clinical Support - Acute Frailty Coordinator

Using a discharge to assess model, the aim of the frailty team assessment is to facilitate a same day discharge or holistically tailor an efficient admission. These processes are supported by a MDT approach to
patient care and promotes communication with other services both in the hospital and the community. Our proactive front door culture is critical to achieving the right outcome for the Shropshire population living
with frailty. This post will help ensure the coordination and completion of these assessments.

Clinical Support - Elective Access Transformation Manager

Outpatient Scheduling Team (RSH)

The elective access transformation manager will lead and manage programs focused on improving and streamlining patient access to elective healthcare services. This role involves strategic planning, project management, stakeholder engagement, and ensuring the successful delivery of initiatives aimed at optimizing patient pathways, reducing waiting times, and enhancing overall access to care.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking individual who will work as an integral part of the Patient Access team.  The Patient Access team is responsible for booking outpatient appointments, day case and inpatient activity, medical records, clinic preparation, overseas visitors, admissions, reception and support the Trust with patient validation. 

Applicants must have excellent communication and organisational skills and be able to work under non-direct supervision, prioritising your own workload.  It is necessary to have a flexible approach within this role and be able to respond appropriately to the demands of an ever-changing workload.

You will need excellent interpersonal skills, as you will be liaising with a range of teams including Operational, Clinical and Nursing across the Trust. You will also be required to communicate with all levels of staff both face to face and over the telephone.

The post holder will be expected to take ownership of projects within the department, supporting the Patient Access Centre Manager, as necessary.
