Clinical Support - Healthcare Assistant - ENT Outpatients Department

Outpatients ENT

Take responsibility for smooth running identified clinical activity
Ensuring equipment is available for use including decontamination of scopes
To support patients during their outpatient appointment.
Ensuring cleanliness of the department and maintaining IPC standards
Escort patients to and from other wards and departments under the direct instruction of the registered nurses.

Clinical Support - Higher Therapy Support Worker

Therapies

To support the qualified therapist (Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist Dietitian and Speech and Language Therapist) in providing a high standard of Therapy intervention following protocols agreed by professional colleagues.

Clinical Support - Healthcare Assistant - Gynaecology Outpatients (Internal only)

Gynaecology

This role supports registered nurses in providing safe and caring support to patients.
It involves helping patients with everyday needs such as washing, eating, drinking and moving safely.
You will check and record basic health information and report any concerns to a nurse.
The job includes keeping the ward clean, tidy and well-organised, and helping with basic admin tasks.
You will work flexibly across different wards and follow all training, policies and safety rules.
Good communication, kindness and respect for patients and their individual needs are essential.

Clinical Support - Healthcare Assistant - Gynaecology Services

Gynaecology Services

Provide or assist patients with personal care/hygiene including occasional direct exposure to bodily fluids etc.
Toileting, including emptying urinary catheter bags
After appropriate training, undertake clinical activities as delegated by nursing and medical staff reporting any abnormalities,
Observations of temperature, pulse, blood pressure & Heights and weight measurements.
ECG recordings
Simple dressings and removal of cannulas.
Phlebotomy, cannulation and BM blood samples.
Assist patient's preparation prior to clinical procedures and during.
Undertake patient and other manual handling tasks using the correct equipment and techniques following specific training.
Contribute fully to ensure the unit and the kitchen are kept clean and all items and equipment are stored, cleaned and used correctly

Clinical Support - Children's Nursing Assistant

Paediatrics

Supports registered nurses and other healthcare professionals to provide safe, high quality care for children and young people in hospital.
Helps children with their personal care, including washing, dressing, eating, drinking and moving around, while promoting comfort, dignity and wellbeing.
Carries out a range of clinical tasks and patient observations following training and assessment, reporting any concerns promptly to the registered nurse.
Communicates kindly and effectively with children, parents, carers and colleagues, providing reassurance, emotional support and information when needed.
Maintains a clean, safe and welcoming ward environment, assists with administrative duties and helps ensure equipment and supplies are available.
Works as part of a multidisciplinary team, follows safeguarding and confidentiality requirements, and takes part in ongoing training and development.

Clinical Support - Radiology Assistant

X-Ray department

Provide support and care to patients, relatives and visitors during their time in the Radiology Department.
Help move and prepare patients safely for their X-ray or scan, working closely with radiographers and other staff.
Use hospital computer systems to record patient details and keep accurate paper and electronic records.
Look after equipment, report any problems, and follow all safety rules, including those for radiation and infection control.
Work as part of a busy team, communicating clearly with patients and staff, and helping during out-of-hours shifts when needed.
Keep the department clean and safe, while maintaining patient privacy and staying calm in emotional or challenging situations.

Salary: £25,272.00 – £25,272 per annum Closing Date: 09/10/2026 Job Ref: 223-RDA-750 Location: The Princess Royal Hospital, Telford Contract: Permanent Hours: 37.5 hours per week (part time hours may be considered)

Clinical Support - Senior Assistant Technical Officer

Cardiology

This role involves carrying out heart, breathing and sleep tests and making sure the results are recorded clearly and correctly.
You will fit and check equipment such as ECG, blood pressure monitors and sleep study devices, and download the results onto computer systems.
You will help prepare patients for exercise and breathing tests and support the team in keeping all clinical areas clean, safe and ready to use.
You will work with other staff to make sure patient information is processed properly and help with basic office and admin tasks when needed.
You will follow national and local standards, keep up with training, and look after the equipment used in the department.
You will work in a professional and respectful way, supporting the values of the Trust and helping to provide good care for all patients.
