Clinical Support - CDC Operations Manager

Pathology Services Management Team

  • This role helps lead the Centre and supports the Centre Manager to make sure patients receive safe, high-quality care.
  • It involves planning how services should run, solving problems, and helping teams work well together.
  • The job includes improving services, managing staff and budgets, and making sure rules and safety standards are followed.
  • It also means working with other Centres, health partners and the public to support good patient care.
  • The post holder will help shape the future of the Centre and take charge when the Centre Manager is away

Clinical Support - Assistant Practitioner Critical Care

Critical Care - Therapy Team

  • Help assess and treat patients using agreed plans and guidelines
  • Manage your own group of patients, with support from a qualified therapist
  • Work closely with other staff, patients, carers and outside organisations
  • Share your skills by training others and joining team meetings
  • Keep clear records and follow safety and confidentiality rules
  • Be flexible with working hours and locations across the Therapy Centre

Clinical Support - Phlebotomist - Shrewsbury

Phlebotomy

  • Collects blood samples from adults and children safely and accurately as part of daily clinical work
  • Labels, records and delivers samples to the laboratory using different hospital systems
  • Follows health and safety rules and keeps the work area clean to protect patients and staff
  • Works different shifts, including weekends and holidays, as part of a shared team rota
  • Communicates well with patients, staff and the wider team to keep work running smoothly
  • Keeps skills up to date through training and supports others as part of ongoing development

Clinical Support - Pharmacy Technician – Clinical Services

Pharmacy Rotational Technical Support Team

  • Work as part of the clinical pharmacy team to make sure medicines are used safely and effectively.
  • Take patient medication histories, check their own medicines, and help with medicines when they leave hospital.
  • Support ward pharmacists by answering medicine questions and managing daily ward responsibilities.
  • Dispense prescriptions, check medicines prepared by others, and ensure correct storage and supply of medicines.
  • Teach and guide pharmacy assistants, technicians, trainees, and other staff when needed.
  • Help improve pharmacy services by following procedures, joining audits, and suggesting new ideas.

Clinical Support - Healthcare Assistant - Medicine

Medicine

  • This role supports ward teams by helping patients with everyday care such as washing, eating, drinking and using the toilet.
  • You will check and record basic health observations and report any concerns to a nurse.
  • You will help keep patients safe and comfortable by moving them correctly, keeping the ward tidy and preparing equipment.
  • You will also support nurses with simple administrative tasks like updating records and answering the phone.
  • You will follow training, work within Trust policies and communicate kindly with patients, families and staff.
  • You will manage your own tasks during each shift and help create a calm, clean and supportive environment

Salary: £24,465.00 – £24,465 per annum Closing Date: 23/02/2026 Job Ref: 223-HCW-138 Location: The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital Contract: Permanent Hours: 37.5 hours per week (7 day shift pattern including weekends, nights and bank holidays - full time/part time considered)
