Clinical Support - Housekeeper - Renal Dialysis Unit

Renal Dialysis Unit

  • The role involves helping to keep the ward clean, tidy, and safe, including looking after equipment, beds, and supplies.
  • You will support staff by preparing patient areas, giving out meals and drinks, and helping with non-clinical tasks that make patients comfortable.
  • You will check stock levels, make sure items are in date, and report any problems to the nursing team.
  • You will communicate well with patients, visitors, and staff, answer the phone politely, and pass on messages clearly.
  • You will follow Trust policies, attend training, and work as part of the team while always acting in a professional and respectful way.

Clinical Support - Medical Laboratory Assistant - Blood Sciences

Pathology - Blood Sciences

  • You are required to work under direct or indirect supervision at all times.
  • You are expected to liaise with other members of staff in Pathology, and similarly with other users of the service both within and outside the confines of the Trust.
  • You may be required to work at any of the department’s laboratory sites.
  • You will be expected to become competent in new areas of work that have comparable levels of responsibility to those of your existing duties (e.g. with respect to new service developments such as the integration of histology and non gynaecological cytology)

  • The Maternity Care Assistant helps midwives to care for women and their babies in a safe and supportive way.
  • They work in different maternity areas and receive training to carry out their duties confidently and safely.
  • They build positive relationships with women and families, showing kindness, respect and professionalism at all times.
  • They help with basic care, record keeping, and supporting the maternity team during routine care and emergencies.
  • They follow all safety, safeguarding and infection control rules to keep everyone safe.
  • They continue to learn and develop their skills and support others who are training in the maternity team.
