Clinical Support - Dementia Support Worker (Internal only)

Dementia Team

This role supports the dementia nursing team to make sure people with dementia or delirium receive safe, caring and consistent support during their hospital stay.
It includes helping to deliver dementia assessments, activities and care plans, and making sure carers are listened to and involved.
The job also helps the team meet dementia care standards across the Trust and supports staff on wards to use tools like the Butterfly Scheme and patient passports.
You will work with many different clinical teams to share important information, update care needs and help plan patient discharge.
The role involves spending time on wards each day to offer direct support, guidance and engagement for people living with dementia.

Salary: £24,937.00 – £26,598 per annum Closing Date: 29/12/2025 Job Ref: 223-DSW-925 Location: The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital with cross site working at The Princess Royal Hospital, Telford expected Contract: Permanent Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Clinical Support - Enhanced Care Support Worker

The Enhanced Care Support Worker role focuses on giving kind, respectful and person‑centred care to patients who need close support.
You will help keep patients safe through one‑to‑one supervision, communication and meaningful activities.
Full training and ongoing support will be provided so you can carry out your duties confidently.
The role involves working flexibly across different wards, supporting both the team and patients’ families to improve each person’s experience of care.
You will follow care plans, help with daily tasks, and report any concerns to registered nurses to make sure patients receive the right support.
You will also help keep the ward safe, tidy and well‑organised while working both independently and as part of a wider team.

Salary: £24,465.00 – £24,465 per annum Closing Date: 07/01/2026 Job Ref: 223-ECS-943 Location: Telford and Shrewsbury Contract: Permanent Hours: Full time and part time available

Clinical Support - Clinical Skills Technician

Under Graduate Medical School (UGMS)

The role supports the Clinical Skills team by helping set up and tidy away equipment used for teaching medical students.
It includes looking after equipment, reporting faults, and keeping the skills lab clean and well organised.
You will help order and check stock so that teaching sessions always have what they need.
You will support tutors and medical students during skills teaching, simulation sessions, and practical exams.
You will work with patient volunteers and help make sure they are safe and comfortable.
You will be part of a small, friendly team and may help with general office tasks when needed.

Salary: £24,937.00 – £26,598 per annum Closing Date: 12/01/2026 Job Ref: 223-CST-928 Location: The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital Contract: Permanent Hours: 37.5 hours per week
