Clinical Support - TB Healthcare Assistant

Respiratory

  • The role supports the TB nursing team by helping with patient tests, collecting results and keeping records up to date.
  • It involves talking with patients and families in a kind and respectful way, while always protecting their privacy.
  • The post holder will help with clinical tasks, such as phlebotomy, once trained and assessed as competent.
  • They will also support the team with administrative duties, including using computer systems and handling phone calls.
  • The job requires good communication, safe decision-making and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • The post holder must be willing to learn new skills and take part in ongoing training to support high-quality patient care.

Clinical Support - Housekeeper - Surgical Assessment Unit

Surgical Assessment Unit (SAU) & Short Stay Surgical

  • The role involves helping to keep the ward clean, tidy, and safe, including looking after equipment, beds, and supplies.
  • You will support staff by preparing patient areas, giving out meals and drinks, and helping with non-clinical tasks that make patients comfortable.
  • You will check stock levels, make sure items are in date, and report any problems to the nursing team.
  • You will communicate well with patients, visitors, and staff, answer the phone politely, and pass on messages clearly.
  • You will follow Trust policies, attend training, and work as part of the team while always acting in a professional and respectful way.
