Clinical Support - Dermatology Healthcare Assistant

Specialist Nurses - Dermatology

  • You will help with small skin operations and wound care after training.
  • You will prepare for clinics and surgery lists, making sure everything runs smoothly.
  • You will check patients’ basic health measurements like blood pressure and weight.
  • You will keep the department tidy and make sure supplies and equipment are ready.
  • You will talk to patients kindly and clearly, explaining what they need to know about their care.

Salary: £24,937.00 – £26,598 per annum Closing Date: 19/01/2026 Job Ref: 223-DHA-025 Location: The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital Contract: Permanent Hours: 17.5 hours per week

Clinical Support - Healthcare Assistant - Emergency Department - Shrewsbury

Emergency Department

  • This role supports nurses in giving care to patients in hospital wards.
  • You will help patients with washing, eating, drinking and going to the toilet.
  • You will check and record things like temperature, pulse and blood pressure.
  • You will help move patients safely and take them to other parts of the hospital.
  • You will keep the ward clean and tidy and help with paperwork and phone calls.
  • You will work with nurses and other staff to make sure patients feel safe and cared for. 

Salary: £24,465.00 – £24,465 per annum Closing Date: 19/01/2026 Job Ref: 223-HAS-029 Location: The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital Contract: Permanent Hours: 37.5 hours per week (part time hours also considered)

Clinical Support - Therapy Support Worker Stroke and Rehabilitation

Therapy Services

  • The role supports qualified therapists by helping with patient assessments, treatments and day‑to‑day tasks.
  • It involves working as part of a wider team and following guidance from therapists at all times.
  • The post holder keeps accurate records, follows safety and confidentiality rules, and helps keep treatment areas clean and safe.
  • They use basic equipment safely, report any risks or concerns, and support the smooth running of the service.
  • They take part in training, supervision and ongoing learning to build skills and work safely within their role.

Salary: £24,465.00 – £24,465 per annum Closing Date: 26/01/2026 Job Ref: 223-TSW-023 Location: The Princess Royal Hospital Contract: Permanent Hours: Full time - 37.5 hours per week (there is a requirement to support the stroke 7 day service as part of this post)
