As a key member of the Resuscitation Team, you’ll work alongside the Lead Resuscitation Practitioner to deliver a first-class, Trust-wide resuscitation service. Your role will include:

  • Designing and delivering dynamic training programmes for staff of all grades – from basic life support to advanced skills in adult, maternal, and paediatric care.
  • Responding to cardiac arrests and medical emergencies, providing expert clinical support and guidance when it matters most.
  • Monitoring team performance and ensuring best practice in line with Resuscitation Council UK standards.

*1 x permanent, 30 hours per week

Main duties of the job

Deliver and Evaluate Training: Plan, organise, and deliver Trust-wide resuscitation training for all staff groups, ensuring compliance with national and international guidelines.
Maintain Clinical Expertise: Attend cardiac arrests and medical emergencies, provide advanced life support interventions, and offer leadership and expert advice during and after events.
Monitor Standards and Equipment: Audit clinical areas, ensure resuscitation equipment is safe and ready for use, and escalate any deficiencies or risks appropriately.
Support Service Development: Assist in policy development, manage projects, maintain accurate training records, and contribute to audits, research, and service improvement initiatives.
Promote Best Practice and Communication: Disseminate evidence-based updates, liaise with internal and external stakeholders, and represent the Resuscitation Service at meetings and courses.
