We have vacancies to join our friendly team of rotational Pharmacists at both The Princess Royal Hospital, Telford and The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital, where you will gain experience in all the main clinical and therapeutic areas.

With a strong focus on ward based patient centred clinical care, you will be working within and supported by a team of pharmacists and medicine management technicians who are well integrated at ward level. In our aseptic suite you will be involved in the clinical aspects and final release of parenteral nutrition, chemotherapy and radiopharmaceuticals. Candidates will be supported and funded to undertake the postgraduate diploma.

This post involves automatic progression to band 7 on completion of the post graduate diploma.

There will be a requirement to participate in extended hours working including weekends and bank holidays on a rotational basis.

Main duties of the job

To carry out duties in Clinical Pharmacy Services at ward and department level. Work closely with Consultants and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe, effective and efficient use of medicines.
To provide technical support in the preparation of a broad range of aseptically prepared medicinal products (PN, Cytotoxic Chemotherapy, Radiopharmaceuticals etc).
To study for, and successfully complete Postgraduate Clinical Diploma
