We are looking to recruit an experienced, motivated and enthusiastic Ward Manager for the Cardiology Ward, Coronary Care Unit and Cardiac Day Unit at The Princess Royal Hospital., Telford. The post holder will be responsible for a team of approximately 45 staff.
This is a demanding role that requires commitment and a positive approach towards change at this time of developing services within the Cardiology Unit. We are at present installing a new Cardiac Catheterisation Lab.
The successful candidate must have a proven ability in supervising, managing and controlling the activities of a ward in an effective and efficient manner.
You will be a clinical role model and have a willingness to develop the team as well as your own professional growth, role modelling best practice and skills within Cardiology.
You will need excellent communication skills and high clinical standards with a passion to make a difference for patients and staff alike.
We are also interested in individuals who can demonstrate our Trust Values - this is very important to us .
You must have a minimum of 5 years post registration experience with 2 years minimum at Band 6 or equivalent, experience in an acute setting is essential, in addition you must have the coronary care course or significant experience within Cardiology.
We in turn will assist you with developing the required skills for the role especially around people management and the ‘art’ of mentoring and coaching in practice. All the skills required to advance in your ‘management’ career will be reviewed with you as part of your professional development.
