Following the development & planned restructure of the Urology CNS department, we are now looking for enthusiastic and committed Advanced Nurse Practitioners who will be committed to lead on the delivery of high quality patient care and service innovation, as well as developing nursing teams who are skilled and confident for the future in the Department of Urology at The Royal Shrewsbury and Telford NHS Trust.

These posts will provide clinical support, nursing care & clinical leadership for patients referred on the suspected prostate cancer pathway. Successful applicants will have the drive & passion to assist with the current workload & service development in association with the NHSE Directive to improve the prostate pathways for our patients & other urological diseases.

We are looking for highly motivated, skilled individuals who either have or are working towards a Masters/PGDip in Advanced Clinical Practice & who are forward thinking to step up to this challenge & can demonstrate the 4 pillars of advanced practice. A trainee band 7 ACP/ANP may be considered, depending on existing skills, experiences & qualifications. Support will be given through a recognised programme of training to obtain accreditation to undertake Local Anaesthetic Trans-Perineal Prostate biopsy (LATP) and/or flexible cystoscopy. Candidates must be fully trained in LATP.
