We are seeking applications for a permanent post for a Tissue Viability Clinical Nurse Specialist.
The role will have responsibility for Tissue Viability across both sites and involve cross-site working. It will involve working closely with all disciplines both internally and externally directly reporting to the Lead Nurse for Tissue Viability.
The post holder will need to demonstrate experience in assessment and management of patients with tissue viability needs and act as an expert resource in all aspects of tissue viability practice.
This exciting and demanding role will include both clinical and non-clinical work, as such the candidate will be expected to be able to adapt to changing priorities and demands.

Main duties of the job
- To support delivery of an evidence-based Tissue Viability Service at the Shrewsbury and Telford NHS Trust as part of a multi-disciplinary approach to patient care.
- To take an active role in developing a Tissue Viability Service across the organisation for the Trust.
- To strive to improve, maintain and monitor the quality of Tissue Viability through audit of practice, surveillance, education and strategic planning.
- The post holder will work autonomously and seek collaborative relationships with others across and within professional boundaries and act as an expert resource in Tissue Viability and provide support, education and leadership in Tissue Viability issues.
