Opportunities are available for continual development including Apprentice ODP reflecting our 'grow your own' ethos.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidates will have a unique opportunity to join the Theatre Department at The Princess Royal  Hospital at a time when we are redeveloping a workforce to help the recovery and restoration programme to provide safe, quality services that are accessible and sustainable for future generations.

The introduction of Robotic surgery to The Princess Royal  Hospital site also demonstrates that we are leading the way with innovation and development of our teams.

Working as part of a team you will provide exceptional care for each patient, only ever caring for one patient at a time, enabling you to ensure you are always doing your very best for every patient every time.

We can offer you dedicated help whilst you settle into your new role.

You will remain supernumerary until the Theatre competencies are completed (6 to 12 months depending on role), and we also have a committed internal professional development team who oversee all training we provide.  We would look to support you to attend our in-house Theatre Academy training programme, which offers three weeks of training run by our Theatre Professional Development team.

There is also specific Theatres training and courses available to help you develop your skills and progress your career with SaTH.

There is also opportunity for Nursing Associates to access the ODP Apprentice degree level training.
