We are currently looking to recruit dynamic, enthusiastic, motivated, forward thinking Theatre Nurses and Operating Department Practitioners to join our theatre and recovery teams in the Theatre Department at the Princess Royal Hospital.  You must be a Registered Nurse or ODP.  Applications are welcome from individuals who are approaching the end of their training.

The Princess Royal Hospital, Telford (where you will be based), has ten operating theatres, two of which are obstetrics that we cover 24/7 with ODPs and now in addition we are requiring scrub practitioners.  We also cover a range of specialities, Trauma & Orthopaedics, ENT, MaxFax, Gynae, Paediatrics and Breast surgery.

You will be required to cover a range of shifts which may include Weekends, Early/Late Shifts, Long Days, Bank Holidays, On-Calls and Night Duties (Obstetric, Anaesthetic Practitioners only).

You should demonstrate in your application a desire to develop your career within a Theatre setting and a strong commitment to teaching.

As part of our vision to provide best in care we are looking for talented and passionate Practitioners who share our beliefs and who want to grow with our organisation.

Together with our staff we have developed a set of Values which form a framework for a positive and supportive environment for our patients, visitors and staff.  We believe that all candidates should be able to demonstrate and be equally committed in fulfilling these Values to be successful in their application.  It’s very important that we select the right nurses to come and work for us.

The selection process for all nursing posts will include a Literacy, Drug Calculations and Numeracy Test. You will be invited to sit these assessments if you are successful in the shortlisting process.
