We are looking to appoint a TB Clinical Nurse Specialist  to join our team. 

Along with your NMC registration and post registration experience within the speciality of TB or respiratory, the successful applicant will form part of the Tuberculosis Prevention and Control Nursing Service.  Serving SaTH  and the communities of Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin and Powys.

The post holder will work with the TB MDT to deliver a service to reflect the needs of patients and their families affected by TB. 

Main duties of the job

•Acting as a clinical expert in TB management and infection control.
•Managing a caseload of patients with complex needs and associated incidents/outbreaks.
•Leading on contact tracing clinics.
•Leading on specialist investigations such as cluster and whole genome sequencing.
•Supporting and delivering clinical audits, service evaluation, and quality improvement.
•Developing and implementing clinical policies, protocols, and guidelines.
•Providing education, training, and mentorship to healthcare staff and students.
•Ensuring efficient use of resources and contributing to governance, risk management, and incident review.
•Enhancing patient experience through advocacy, communication, and service-user engagement.

The post holder is accountable for safe, effective clinical practice and supports the ongoing development of staff, service delivery, and patient outcomes across Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin and Powys.
