An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent Band 6 Sister/ Charge Nurse at our friendly Renal Dialysis unit at The Princess Royal Hospital in Telford, as well as an 18 month secondment/fixed-term position to cover maternity leave. 

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated dialysis nurse who is interested in gaining management experience and developing their leadership skills.

Main duties of the job

On the Dialysis unit we care for patients undergoing Haemodialysis and focus on holistic care, we also promote self-care, which enables and empowers our patients. Our aim is to provide a high quality standard of individualised care and treatment to patients with established renal failure within a safe and supportive environment by friendly, competently trained staff.

Dialysis experience is essential, you will be supported to complete your acute dialysis competencies at our main unit at The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital and will be expected to take part in the on-call rota system.

The Government has formally announced that it intends to introduce regulations that will require any individuals employed by the NHS where their role involves patient contact, to be fully vaccinated (1st and 2nd dose) against COVID-19 by 1st April 2022.  To achieve this the successful applicant must have had their 1st COVID-19 vaccination by 3rd February 2022.
