We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our busy, dynamic nursing team in the Emergency Department at The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital (RSH) on a fixed term contract to cover maternity leave.
This is a demanding role that requires dedication and a positive attitude and approach towards change. With emergency care ever changing and evolving this is an exciting opportunity to provide new and innovative health care services to our patients and to help develop the department for the future of emergency services within our Trust.
The successful candidate must have a proven ability in supervising, managing and controlling the activities of a unit in an effective and efficient manner.

You will have excellent communication skills and high clinical standards with a passion to make a difference for patients and staff alike.
There will be the opportunity to work cross site.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will work very closely with the Band 7 Senior Nursing team. You will be required to develop strong links with all members of the MDT and assessment areas and ensure that patient care is of the highest standard possible.
In conjunction with the ward/ department manager will oversee the day to day supervision of their ward/ department/team, effectively motivating, and directing staff to ensure that time and resources are managed through effective teamwork.
To ensure that staff have a clear knowledge of their duties and be accountable and of the standards of performance and conduct expected of them during their span of duty.
