An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Nurse who wishes to play a lead role in the ongoing development of Surgical Services within the Trust. We are seeking a Matron for our Critical Care Services, due to the promotion of the current post holder.
It is an essential requirement for this post that applicants hold a current Critical Care post registration qualification and have current or recent experience in a Senior Nurse operational role at Band 7 within Critical Care.
As a Matron you will provide leadership and direction and will be expected to have experience of managing operational services, finance, budgetary control and workforce issues. You will have overall day to day responsibility for managing teams at both The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital and The Princess Royal Hospital, Telford ensuring efficient and effective management of complex operational and professional issues to ensure high quality, safe clinical care and patient experience.
The post will be based at The Princess Royal Hospital, Telford, however this post requires cross site working. You will be expected to be part of the Matron of the day Rota for the acute wards on both sites and will take part on the Off Site Manager on-call rota.
The Care Group is a challenging operational area with many conflicting priorities and requires staff with focus, drive, enthusiasm and commitment. You will work with the Senior Management team to influence, motivate, support and drive through change and service improvement to meet the care group and corporate objectives.
