Nursing - INTERNAL VACANCY: Sister/Charge nurse - Day Surgery Unit

We are looking to recruit a Band 6 for a 12 month secondment on Day Surgery Unit at The Princess Royal Hospital (PRH). Day Surgery Unit at PRH is combined Day Surgery with medical escalation. This is a varied role that requires commitment and a positive approach towards change.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to work in this busy and challenging environment.

The successful candidate must have a proven ability in leading, supervising and managing the activities of the unit in an effective and efficient manner, combining day surgery and medical escalation.

You will be a clinical role model and have a willingness to contribute to the development of the team as well as your own professional growth.

You will be working closely with the Ward Manager and Matron to help shape the future of the Day Surgery Unit. You will have a keen interest in developing staff and seeking to improve services to ensure our patient experience is consistently of a high standard.

The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, drive and enthusiasm and be dedicated to ensuring that the good quality care is delivered to all patients.

You must have extensive post registration and a surgical background is highly desirable.
