Due to movement within our existing CNS team, this is an exciting opportunity for an existing Haematology CNS to progress to a Band 7 role.  A high level of Haematology knowledge and experience will be required and we are happy to support and train the right person for this post.  The successful candidates will work with specific patient sub-groups within Haematology and this can be tailored to the skillset of the successful candidate

Set working days can be considered and happy to consider part time working or job share

 

Main duties of the job

 

You will provide specialist support for patients receiving oncological treatments within the Haematology speciality.  You will be providing key worker support alongside the existing CNS's within these specialities for patients receiving  treatments within the Haematology Department.   You will need to have excellent clinical skills and standards within the speciality and a wide knowledge of  treatments.  You will also have a passion for being able to make a difference for patients who are going through a life changing, and in some cases life-limiting diagnosis and treatment.

Excellent communication skills will be essential in order to provide high quality information to the patient in a way in which they can understand and you will need to be confident in breaking bad news if this is required.
