We have an exciting new role for an enthusiastic Registered Nurse looking to further their development and skills.
The Fracture Liaison Nurse will facilitate care for patients with a highlighted fragility fracture. They will have skills in assessment, co-ordination and treatment of fragility fractures and will form part of the multidisciplinary team within orthopaedics. The role will include education and coordination of patient care.
The post holder will lead the on-going development of the FLS within the Trust and with the CCG in line with the recommendations from the British Orthopaedic Association and the British Geriatrics Society.
The post holder will work with multi-professional team to ensure that they are responsive to the needs of patients with fragility fracture in all areas of the trust. This post involves some cross site working.
We are seeking an experienced Orthopaedic Nurse with previous Band 6 experience. However, Band 5 nurses with proven post qualification experience will be also be considered.
