We are currently recruiting for a 12 month secondment opportunity.
Dynamic, confident and motivated in nature. Is this YOU?
If you are passionate like we are about providing the best care to our patients, this opportunity offers the right individual a chance to showcase and grow their leadership, clinical skills and knowledge. Our service is one where your passion, drive and motivation will genuinely make a real difference to the entire Trust.
In order to succeed, you will have proven leadership skills and experience, highly effective and influential communication skills, the ability to challenge professionally and move things forward by engaging your divisional colleagues. You will be a positive role-model.
If you think this role is for you and have the relevant skills and experience and you want to work in a fast paced, forward thinking team then this opportunity is for you.
We face challenges every day as a team. We need someone who delivers the Trusts key objectives in a fast pace and ever-changing environment, enjoys collaborative working and is committed to continuous improvement.
Main duties of the job
A broad overview of responsibilities includes managing the Trust’s bed capacity and patient flow and assisting in the achievement of key performance and quality standards (e.g. emergency and elective admission access targets, single sex accommodation and infection control). You will also be required to support safe staffing levels. Out of hours you will have overall responsibility for the hospital site with support from the on call senior manager and the executive on call.
In conjunction with other members of the Clinical Site Management team, ensure the provision of effective site management, including direct responsibility for the management and reporting of the four hour access target for the Emergency departments and the direction of bed usage throughout the Trust.
Working for your organisation
Our Poppy’s Promise Commitment
We believe that compassionate care sits at the heart of everything we do. Every member of our team — clinical or non-clinical — plays a vital role in ensuring that patients, families, and colleagues are treated with dignity, empathy, and respect at all times.
We expect all staff to demonstrate compassion not only through their words, but through their actions: by listening attentively, communicating clearly and kindly, and recognising individual needs, feelings, and circumstances of those in our care.
Effective communication is central to safe and high-quality healthcare. We value colleagues who take the time to understand others, explain information in a meaningful way, and respond to concerns with patience and understanding.
By joining our team, you are committing to uphold these values — ensuring that every patient feels heard, respected, and valued, and that compassion is embedded in every interaction, every day.
