An opportunity has arisen to join our team of Clinical Site Managers at The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital Trust, based at The Princess Royal Hospital, Telford.

Applicants must be Registered Nurses with extensive and current experience at Band 7 in an acute hospital setting.  They must be patient centered, have up to date clinical skills and an understanding of current acute hospital performance indicators.  This may include cross site working.

The Clinical Site Manager role is integral to the successful operation of the hospital; you will need to be a quick thinker and strong leader with excellent problem solving skills, able to negotiate sound operational decisions in rapidly changing situations, often under pressure so a calm and pleasant manner is essential.

A broad overview of responsibilities includes managing the Trust’s bed capacity and patient flow and assisting in the achievement of key performance and quality standards (e.g. emergency and elective admission access targets, single sex accommodation and infection control).  You will also be required to support safe staffing levels.  Out of hours you will have overall responsibility for the hospital site with support from the on call senior manager and the executive on call.

By submitting your application to Trac, you are giving your consent for parts of your application data to be transferred to the NHS Electronic Staff Record (ESR) and other secure, internal NHS Workforce systems. This is to support and manage your recruitment and employment within your employing organisation.

If successful, by completing the NHS Jobs application form you authorise the Trust to obtain any previous NHS service details including all electronically held sickness information, via the Inter Authority Transfer process on the national ESR.

If the role requires a qualification/professional registration, you will need to provide proof during the recruitment process. By submitting your application you are giving the Trust permission to check the qualification certificates provided back to the source provider. Please note that a sample of all applicant’s qualifications will be checked with the educational institution or provider.
