Job Description

An exciting opportunity is available for two nurses to join the Breast Care team and advance their knowledge in this speciality for a fixed term/secondment of 12 months.

The successful applicants will work as part of the multi-disciplinary team, alongside healthcare professionals. Providing information about  diagnosis, treatment options, specialist support and information, to both patients and their family and carers throughout their cancer treatment and follow up care. The CNS role provides a link and point of contact for patients and their family and act as a designated key worker.

To be responsible for assessing individual care needs and developing, implementing and evaluating plans of care for all breast patients in accordance with agreed policies and professional guidelines
To provide nursing support to the Breast Team
To participate in and monitor quality assurance procedures to maintain the breast service in line with national targets and standards.
To work flexibly to meet the needs of the service
