An exciting opportunity has arisen for an aspiring dental nurse. 

We are seeking a passionate, enthusiastic dental nurse to support leading our team in the oral and maxillofacial department at the princess royal hospital. 

The successful candidate will have specialist dental nurse skills including dental radiograph. 

The candidate should have strong leadership skills and excellent communication skills with drive and enthusiasm around change. The candidate should be dedicated in ensuring good quality care is delivered to all patients. 

Main duties of the job

  • To function as a competent dental nurse within the oral and maxillofacial department. To deliver direct patient care whist taking charge of the department and supporting other members of the team. 
  • To be responsible for ensuring the delivery of clinical activities during their time on duty. 
  • To ensure that there is efficient and effective utilisation of resources to deliver optimum quality care to their client group. 
  • To deputise for the senior dental nurse in their absence, to ensure the department is run safely, staff are supervised and trust policies and procedures are adhered to. 
  • To work flexibly to meet the needs of the service.

Our Service will relocate to The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital in 2028 as part of HTP. This move will bring specialist services together in a modern, purpose-built facility to improve patient care and team experience.

We are actively recruiting, and successful candidates will be expected to move with the Service in early 2028. The relocation will follow a formal management of change process, including full consultation and support for staff.
