An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our dynamic team within Ward 37.  You will be part of a group of employees which comprises of doctors, nurses and clerical/administrative staff who provide a high standard of service to patients and relatives attending the department.

Ward 37 is a general surgical ward which comprises several specialities. 

The successful applicant will need to have experience in dealing with the general public; they will have good IT skills and remain calm under pressure in this challenging role.  A good telephone manner, confidence and a positive helpful manner is essential.

Main duties of the job

 

Duties will include answering the telephone, filing, using the Care Flow and New EPR system and booking appointments.  Working with the team to ensure we maintain high cleanliness standards.  Liaising with professionals from many different departments to assist our patients and staff.  

You will be required to be flexible within the contracted hours.  You will also provide cover for annual leave and sickness.  Full training will be provided for all candidates.

Ward 37 is a 32 bedded ward, mainly general surgery.

The ward has a reputation for delivering high quality of care with a holistic approach.  We work closely with a range of multi-disciplinary teams, which include the Colorectal Nurse Specialist, Vascular nurse specialists, IBD Nurse specialist and the nutrition team.
