An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our dynamic team within Gynaecology Unit at The Princess Royal Hospital, Telford.
We currently have a 22.5 hour vacancy become available which would include working and rotating within the gynaecology unit to cover EPAS, GATU, Ward and Clinics.
The successful applicants will need to have experience dealing with the general public; they will have good IT skills and remain calm under pressure in this demanding role. Duties will include answering the telephone, filing, using our IT systems and booking appointments therefore a good telephone manner, confidence and a positive helpful manner is essential.
The post holder will be expected to provide clerical, administrative and information technology help to medical, nursing and other staff in relation to the patients being cared for within the Unit.
Training will be provided for the successful candidates
Main duties of the job
- Welcome patients onto the unit, booking patients in, checking details are correct on the system and show patients where to go
- support with booking clinic appointments
- cashing up outcome forms
- To request notes
- Filing of notes and send them on to coding
- Answer telephone calls
- Order and maintain stock of ward paperwork
- cancer referals
- Book transport and Interpreters
