We have an exciting opportunity become available for a Ward Clerk to join the team in our Endoscopy Unit at The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital.
The dedicated and friendly staff work flexibly to cover all specialities gaining a vast array of knowledge, skills and experience.
The successful candidate requires excellent organisational and communication skills, working with a wide range of the multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest patient quality care and experience.
Main duties of the job
This is a busy fast paced environment so you will be flexible in your approach to the role and respond appropriately to the demands of an ever-changing workload. Previous experience in endoscopy or gastro would be an advantage but not necessary.
You will also require to have good computer skills as you will be using the trust's digital systems. You will also be responsible for management of patient records, help facilitate admissions and discharges and book follow on referrals/appointments if necessary.
In addition, you will be required to assist in general administrative duties as directed by the Senior Nursing Team If you feel that you can meet this criteria and are eager to take on new challenges within the Department then please apply.
