An exciting opportunity has arisen within Unscheduled Care for an experienced Medical Secretary to provide a valuable support service to our Emergency Department at The Princess Royal Hospital. The post is Band 3 working 20 hours per week (days to be negotiated).
There is a requirement for the candidate to have audio typing experience/qualifications along with excellent typing, organisational and interpersonal skills whilst demonstrating enthusiasm and motivation. You would be required to work closely with the clinical teams, supporting the work of the A&E and AMU departments in the provision of an efficient and effective office service. Candidates should possess a professional attitude to their work and have the ability to work flexibly in a busy environment. You will be required to work as part of a team, as well as being able to use your initiative and prioritise your workload to meet deadlines.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate good communication skills, flexibility, and reliability and have an organised approach to work. Working alongside other Higher Level Medical Secretaries, the post would provide an excellent opportunity for development and progression for a motivated candidate.
Qualifications: You will hold RSA level 3 or equivalent and you must possess excellent audio typing skills. Educated to GSCE level or equivalent. Experience within a medical environment is desirable, but is not essential.
