An opportunity has arisen to recruit a Materials Technician Lead to work within our friendly team in Stores at The Princess Royal Hospital, Telford.
Cross site working is expected to meet the demands of the department
Main duties of the job
- Internal Supply Chain Services: Managing receipts, distribution, and materials management using computerised systems for tracking consumables, loan kits, and stock
- Materials Management/Buying: Raising requisitions and orders to purchase regularly used and non-stock items, ensuring stock replenishment according to procedures.
- Supplier and Internal Liaison: Coordinating with internal personnel and stock management, delivery issues, and supply rationalisation.
- Stock Reporting: Producing stock reports and analyses to advise ward/department managers.
- IMS and Scanning: Using the new Inventory Management System (IMS)
