Here at The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust, we understand that a permanent full-time role may not suit everyone. Our Admin Bank can offer shifts in a variety of areas across both hospital sites with hours to suit you between Monday to Friday!

Main duties of the job

The post holders will undertake general support duties within each team, helping to ensure an efficient and well-rounded service is provided. Bank shifts will be available within  different teams to meet service needs. The postholder will need to  work accurately to deadlines with the ability to manage and prioritise their own workload. Full induction training will be provided. 

This role will include all aspects of secretarial duties, predominantly audio transcribing patient letters and clinical correspondence, alongside scanning, filing and any other support tasks requested by the Medical Secretaries and Supervisors.

The ability to plan and prioritise a varied workload is essential, as are good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with a variety of staff groups at all levels. The successful applicants will work as part of a team and will gain valuable experience in the day-to-day management of busy Medical Secretaries offices.
