An exciting opportunity has arisen for a 12 month Secondment / Fixed term contract in the Women and Children's Division Operational Management team. We are looking for an enthusiastic , resilient and flexible operational manager to with experience of Referral to Treatment and Cancer Service Performance Management.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will work closely with the Centre Clinical Directors, Matrons, Centre Managers and other Assistant Business Operational Managers to ensure efficient and effective management of all resources in order to deliver safe, high quality and effective clinical services in an environment of continuous improvement.
The post includes responsibilities for :-
- Referral to Treatment and Cancer Performance
- Service development
- Supporting with Budget management
- Supporting with Business planning
- Supporting with Workforce management
- Supporting with management of governance and risk

The Women and Children's Division is at an exciting time in taking forward improvements in its service . You will be key in taking this improvement work forward.
Hospital Transformation Programme (HTP)
As part of our long-term vision to improve patient care and service delivery, our Service will relocate to The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital in 2028. This move will unite specialist services in a purpose-built, modern environment, enhancing care and team experience.
We are actively recruiting and want applicants to be aware that successful candidates will be expected to move with the Service in early 2028. The relocation will follow a formal management of change process, with full consultation and support for colleagues.
