An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Medicine Management Team.  

The successful candidate will be expected to use their management experience to develop a wide range of services with the Operational Manager.   You should have gained experience within a health service setting looking for an opportunity to develop your management and leadership skills.   This role requires values-based leadership.  

The Medicine Division includes the following service areas Renal Services, Diabetes and Endocrinology, Dermatology, Respiratory Medicine, General Medicine, Cardiology  Stroke, Frailty and Care of the Elderly.

Main duties of the job

Working closely with the Operational Manager & Clinical Director for the specialties, the post holder is responsible for supporting the Centre Manager and Operational Manager in the management of the business activities of the service area to ensure delivery of its strategic and operational objectives in line with the Operational Delivery Plan and Accountability Agreement.

You will have a project to lead on and you will also have service areas that you will be responsible for. 

The post holder will work closely with the Operational Managers and Centre Manager to ensure efficient and effective management of all resources in order to deliver safe, high quality and effective clinical services in an environment of continuous improvement.

The post holder will work with other centres and Divisional leads as required to deliver the Trusts’ overall strategic objectives, ensuring that the patient experience is a key priority

Medicine is a vibrant team, continually looking for ways to develop innovative ideas and ways of working, ensuring our services continue to match the rapid pace of growth in Medicine.  

There will be some cross site working between hospital sites.
