Applications are invited for the post of Locum Consultant Acute Physician to join the existing Acute Physician teams at The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust. This post demonstrates the Trust’s commitment to improving the Acute Medical Service that Shropshire and Mid Wales patients receive. If suitable applicants were interested this post could be filled on the basis of part-time, flexible working or job -share appointments.
This is an exciting opportunity for you to have a central role in the development of Acute Medical Services whilst living in a beautiful part of the Country. The successful applicant will be a Clinical Leader for the Acute Medical Unit, Short Stay Units, and Emergency Ambulatory Care Services, and will also contribute to the 1 in 14 on-call Medical rota.
You must possess full registration with the General Medical Council with a License to Practice and have appropriate experience in general and acute medicine to fulfill the responsibilities of the role.
The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust serve the total population of Shropshire and Powys, which numbers approximately 600,000. This appointment is integral to the Trust’s and Local Health Economy’s plans to rapidly develop a better quality and sustainable Acute Medical Service.
