The Shrewsbury & Telford Hospital NHS Trust is recruiting Junior Clinical Fellow (ST1-2 Equivalent) Level at rotating on a 4 monthly bases through a range of general medical specialties including Acute Medicine. There may be the opportunity to rotate through surgical specialties and Accident and Emergency.

This post is not recognised for training. There is the opportunity for internal progression to ST3+ (IMT3+ equivalent) if the relevant competencies have been met within a clinical setting.
Main duties of the job
- To be part of a Consultant lead clinical team providing specialty and general medical care to medical inpatients.
- To be part of the on-call team covering the Acute Unselected medical Take supported by the STR and lead by the on-call Consultant.
- To develop enhanced clinical skills, especially in the assessment and management of acutely ill patients.
- To have excellent team-working skills with the abilities and professional attitude to work well in a multi-professional team.
- To deliver clinical and quality targets agreed both nationally and locally with clinical teams and commissioners.
- To follow patients throughout their clinical pathways.

The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust (SaTH) is the main provider of acute hospital services for around half a million people in Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin and mid Wales.

Both hospitals provide a wide range of acute hospital services including accident & emergency, outpatients, diagnostics, inpatient medical care and critical care.
