An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Consultant Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon to join the Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust.

The Role

This is a replacement post for a retiring colleague with a clinical interest in facial deformity surgery. The post will be available to start from August 2020.

There is scope to tailor and develop clinical interests to suite the applying candidate.

The post is for 10 PA’s with an option to work additional PA’s and would offer an opportunity for Teaching and/or Medical Leadership development. The Trust has teaching connections with Keele University School of Medicine.

The Department

You will join a Team of 4 other Consultant colleagues providing a 1 in 5 on call service to a population of 520,000 people across Telford, Shropshire and Powys. The main in patient base is at Telford. The role is supported by 3 Consultant Orthodontists.

A UK registerable Dental degree and GMC Registration are mandatory and ideally inclusion on the Specialist Register in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery or within 6 months of eligibility for inclusion and the possession of a CCT in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

The job offers Membership of a Team of supportive Staff and Colleagues.
