An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Director to join our Emergency Medicine Centre to focus on ensuring that the medical components of pathways are effectively designed and delivered, providing effective clinical governance through medical engagement in the specialty.
The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital Trust (SaTH) is the main provider of acute hospital services for around half a million people in Shropshire, Telford &Wrekin and mid-Wales. We are about to embark on an exciting Hospital Transformation Programme after securing investment. The successful applicant will have to opportunity to contribute to the shape our future hospital. This landmark decision will result in better care for patients, secure the £312 million from HM Treasury and develop both hospital sites to deliver state-of-the-art facilities in which staff will be proud to work and patients will choose to be treated.
We are seeking to appoint a dynamic and versatile Clinical Director, who can drive performance to deliver high quality services and maximise efficiency. This role require an exceptional communicator who will be politically astute and quickly able to develop strong relationships internally and with a wide range of external stakeholders. Few roles will offer you such an opportunity to make a difference.
The post holder will be professionally and managerially responsible for all other medical staff within the Acute and Emergency Medicine Centre and be the overall lead for the medical team within the specialty, whilst ensuring clinical regulatory targets and compliance for clinical quality, risk and governance standards are met.
The successful applicant will support the Acute and Emergency Medicine Centre Manager in providing collective leadership and accountability for the quality and performance of the group, supporting the Trust’s role as a key player in providing high quality health services in Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin and Mid-Wales. The successful candidate will provide direction, advice and leadership to further enhance relationships amongst our clinicians and working alongside the Care Group Medical Director to shape our future in creating a strong culture of compassionate care for our patients and our staff.
