An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a TB Clinical Support Worker to join the team and assist in our objective to improve patient safety and the patient experience through the continued improvement in the quality of our services.
Along with NVQ 2 in a care related subject, the successful applicant will have experience in an acute healthcare setting with the ability to work and communicate effectively within a multidisciplinary team setting.
The post holder will work within the Respiratory team at The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital and at The Princess Royal Hospital, Telford.

- Supporting CNS with TB clinics
- Speaking with patients about treatment compliance
- Answering and triaging patient telephone messages
- Reviewing/validation of TB service data base
- Working across site
- Telephone reviews with patients
- Ordering consumables as required

The Clinical Support Worker model proposes that the way to achieve effective clinical care is to have one or more multidisciplinary teams working in the hospital, who between them have the full range of skills and competences to meet patient’s immediate needs.
