A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a full time  Healthcare Assistant to join the Gynaecology Outpatient team. The department has various clinics including; colposcopy, hysteroscopy, cystoscopy, consultation and specialist clinics.

The role requires use of IT, accurate written documentation, recording patient information, logging and sending specimens. Ensuring the clinic environment is clean tidy and running efficiently, trolleys stocked and any issues reported. Working within department policies, procedures and guidelines.

Main duties of the job

Gynaecology services are excited to offer the opportunity for a Healthcare Assistant to come and join our team.

We are a service composing of a 12 bedded ward, Gynaecology Assessment and Treatment Unit (GATU), Early Pregnancy Assessment Service (EPAS) and two Outpatients Units.  The successful candidate will be located mainly within the Gynaecology Outpatient Department however may on occasions be required to work on the ward or GATU.

The Gynaecology Outpatient Department prides itself on providing high quality care to all patients within its service. The department is evolving to offer patients a better experience with less time waiting for procedures.

If successful you will be expected to work with the team during patient consultations and  day case procedures such as colposcopy, hysteroscopy and myosures.

Flexibility is required for this post as you will be required to work across site at both The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital and The Princess Royal Hospital, Telford.
