An exciting opportunity has become available to recruit Healthcare Assistants to work within the Emergency Department at The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital. We have both full time and part time positions available.
We are looking for people who are caring and compassionate and who have strong communication and observation skills to deliver excellent patient-focused care in a challenging environment. You must have good communication skills and be able to work well as part of a team. You must be flexible in your approach as you will be required to work days, nights and weekends to meet the needs of the service. Main duties of the job
- This role supports registered nurses in providing safe and caring support to patients.
- It involves helping patients with everyday needs such as washing, eating, drinking and moving safely.
- You will check and record basic health information and report any concerns to a nurse.
- The job includes keeping the ward clean, tidy and well-organised, and helping with basic admin tasks.
- You will work flexibly across different wards and follow all training, policies and safety rules.
- Good communication, kindness and respect for patients and their individual needs are essential.
