Due to a retirement of the current post holder, we have a vacancy in our OPD coordinator to join our team here at The Princess Royal Hospital in Telford. This is an exciting time to join our team as you will also be working alongside our new Therapy Outpatient Centre Manager and Head of Profession (OPD), MSK Therapy Quality Improvement Lead (TQIL) and Outpatient Coordinator at RSH in developing and setting a new direction for our services at SATH. The role involves both clinical and non-clinical activities and the composition of this can be discussed during an informal discussion and, to some extent, the clinical component can be tailored to the post holder.
As a specialised physiotherapist/ occupational therapist in the OPD coordinator role, you will be integral to leading and delivering OPD services at SATH based at The Princess Royal Hospital, Telford where there are extensive facilities available to support patient care. You will also contribute to the wider organisation's physiotherapy weekend rota in Orthopaedics/ MSK. We have a team of Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists delivering a varied caseload of both consultant and GP referrals consisting of upper, lower limb and spinal conditions providing OPD MSK clinics, hydrotherapy and outreach to the Community. The team includes Advanced practice Physiotherapists in A and E and Orthopaedic clinics who are integral to the team. The department is involved in research projects and has close links with HEIs providing clinical placements and working closely to identify opportunities for staff. We are committed to allocated CPD time, clinical outcomes and providing a responsive patient focussed service.
