An exciting opportunity has arisen due to the opening of new modular wards at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital.
The successful candidate will work within the medical team (known as MERRIT) to provide highly specialist therapy to the medical wards. The team consists of other occupational therapists, physiotherapists and therapy support workers.
We are looking for a highly skilled Physiotherapist who demonstrates a passion for delivering high quality assessment and treatments. The post includes involvement in the in-service training rota as well as clinical supervision of both therapy staff and students.
Participation in the on call respiratory out of hours service and weekend respiratory, orthopaedic and discharge rotas will be expected.
All of our Physiotherapists receive supervision and mentorship from a member of our highly specialist team who will offer direction in terms of clinical and leadership development.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will;
work with a diverse range of inpatients, many with complex conditions.
deliver comprehensive assessment, re-assessment, treatment planning and delivery of treatments
be a skilled communicator
demonstrate clear clinical reasoning when prioritising their caseload
be willing to supporting colleagues
participate in the out of hours respiratory on call rota.
