We are looking for an experienced, innovative Dietitian to join our expanding team of Dietitians, delivering an integrated acute service for the communities of Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin.

The successful candidate will work closely with their Macmillan Integrated Therapy colleagues. 

You will have the opportunity to develop your clinical and leadership skills within the Dietetic Service utilising advances in technology to deliver dietetic support for patients across the county, within inpatients and outpatients including the sub acute community wards that are on site.

Main duties of the job

  • To work as an autonomous practitioner within the MITS Dietetic Team specialising in nutrition support whilst delivering clinics across a full range of Dietetic specialities, supported by highly specialist therapists. 
  • To perform therapeutic assessment of patients within the clinical setting with diverse presentations and complex physical and psychological conditions, to provide a diagnosis and develop and deliver individualised treatment programmes.
  • To manage a defined caseload, using evidence based, client centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions.
    To provide clinical education, advice and support for junior dietitians and assistant staff.
  •  To provide highly specialist knowledge, skills and advice to clients, and be a source of expertise for therapy staff, other members of the MDT and other agencies.
  • To supervise, educate and assess the performance of therapy learners.
  • To contribute to service research and audit activities.
  • To propose any service changes within own professional area.
