We  have a fixed term (12 months) part-time Team Manager opportunity available from September . This will be an ideal development opportunity for an ambitious, enthusiastic and committed AHP with either a degree in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Dietetics or Speech & Language Therapy or equivalent.  

We are eager to welcome  either an experienced leader or someone ready to take the next step in their career. The successful candidate will  join our Inpatient Therapy Service Team to lead a team of Occupational Therapists. Physiotherapists and Therapy Support Workers providing an essential therapy service to patients in the Emergency Department and related acute assessment areas.

The successful candidate will be taking this role on at a very exciting time in the transformation of the acute hospitals in Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin and will be passionate about admission avoidance and  supporting short stay episodes.

 

Main duties of the job

 

The role of Team Manager is key to the successful running of the acute inpatient therapy teams teams on a day-to-day basis, ensuring that the team provides a patient-centred, effective, high-quality service.

The Team Manager operationally manages staff covering a designated clinical area  but alongside operational management duties the Team Manager also takes an  active role in the expert assessment and treatment of patients who may have complex presentation.

Management duties include rostering, managing absence, recruitment, performance management, clinical governance, audit, service improvement etc - working collaboratively with colleagues both within and outwith the Therapy Centre.

SaTH Inpatient Therapy provide a responsive high quality patient focused service. As a Team Manager you will be supported to access opportunities for your professional growth whilst you help shape services for the continued benefit of our patients and supporting the development of your team members.
