An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated Part-time Band 6 Nurse to join our friendly  team of Clinical Nurse Specialists in Head and Neck at The Shrewsbury & Telford NHS Trust. Previous experience in Head and Neck Speciality or within services supporting patients through a cancer care pathway is necessary as you will be required to provide specialist nursing care, support, and information to meet patient’s individual needs.

This is a  part time position, and the successful candidate must be flexible in their working hours to cover the needs of the service and the candidate will also be required to travel and work across our 2 sites.


Main duties of the job

The ideal candidate will possess high clinical standards and the ability to work proactively within a busy multi-disciplinary team.

 You must have the willingness to develop  your own professional competencies  and will need to be capable of working well within an existing established team.  The Candidate will use their skills and knowledge to provide educational support to junior nursing  colleagues . There is an expectation that the successful will achieve competencies  in Airway  Valve management.
