We are looking for enthusiastic, flexible, highly motivated and experienced Radiographer to join our Nuclear Medicine Team at The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust. The working pattern will predominantly be 7.5 hour duties over a 7 day roster. The successful applicant must have a BSc (Hon) Diagnostic Radiography or DCR and current HCPC registration, or appropriate equivalent. Experience in Nuclear Medicine is essential. Nuclear medicine post graduate experience is desirable.

Main duties of the job

Carry out quality Nuclear Medicine imaging in line departmental protocols
To carry out clinical and administrative work as a Senior member of the Radiology team
Support the modality Superintendent Radiographer
Assisting in training other staff/ students
To provide a high-quality service for patients across the department
Maintain cannulation skills for the administration of radioisotopes.

Working for our organisation

Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital Trust have recently undergone an equipment upgrade within the Nuclear Medicine Department at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital and have a brand-new Siemens Pro.Specta.

 The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital has a Philips Azurion Interventional lab, a Philips fluoroscopy room, 4 Philips DXR general x-ray rooms and 2 Philips mobiles. We have 3 state of the art Siemens CT scanners and 3 Siemens 1.5T MRI scanners also on the hospital site.

All Radiographers with more than 1 year post graduate experience contribute to the training and mentorship of undergraduate students and the department has an excellent on-site teaching environment.
