An exciting opportunity has arisen to support the development of Asthma services for children and young people across the Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin ICS. 

The STW ICS has been successful in gaining pilot funding to develop an Integrated Care System for Children and Young People’s Asthma.  As one of only seven pilots across the country, we are seeking to recruit a highly specialised paediatric asthma practitioner.

Main duties of the job

This pilot offers you the chance of leading service innovation and developing good practice to be shared across the country.

The post holder will work closely with the ICS Clinical Lead for CYP Asthma to help meet the deliverables of the recently published National Bundle of Care for CYP with Asthma.  The national asthma bundle was released earlier this year and this role will be pivotal in driving it forward locally.

One of the main roles will be to work with the Clinical and GP ICS leads, alongside the Highly specialised paediatric asthma practitioner within the two diagnostic hubs based within two PCN’s within Shropshire and Telford and Wrekin.
