An exciting opportunity has arisen for a 12 month Fixed term contract to support the Dermatology Cancer Services at The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust (SaTH) with a potential for this post to become permanent at the end of the 12 months.

The post requires vision, innovation and the ability to work across professional boundaries, underpinned by a real desire to provide the highest standards of patient care.

You will need to be an enthusiastic and motivated individual with advanced diagnostic and communication skills and will be able to work autonomously and as a key member of the team to provide diagnosis and support to Dermatology patients suffering with potential skin cancer.

A commitment to individualised evidence based patient care and ability to act sensitively with empathy and excellent communication skills are essential.

 

Main duties of the job

 

The post holder will work closely with the MDT team. The role involves providing, assessing and initiating treatment plans, undertaking nurse led clinics for patients with skin cancer and educating and supporting patients and their families to understand and manage their condition.
