This is an great time to join the SaTH HR Team with our recently developed forward thinking People Strategy, working collaboratively with our Clinical Division Director and HR team to deliver operational support.

Main duties of the job

Proactively modelling and establishing the Workforce Business Partner role as a strategic contributor to the achievement of Divisional and Trust objectives, you will champion the provision of a HR service focused on supporting Divisions/Directorates and managers.  You will act as a key member of the Divisional Management Teams, supporting the development of workforce plans aligned to Trust and Divisional strategic direction and business plans. You will also  required to deliver on a wide range of other HR matters including all aspects of workforce performance, development, change programmes and complex employee relations issues.

You must be able to quickly build effective working relationships and have the ability to cope in a busy operational environment, prioritising competing workload demands effectively. You will be expected to have excellent communication skills, sound judgement and the ability to quickly gain credibility with HR colleagues, managers, clinicians and staff.

The post holder will be part of the HR Business Team, reporting to the Senior HR Business Partner and will take a lead role in the provision of business HR support to designated Divisions and will also be the designated lead for HR Governance and allocated HR/OD projects.

• Experience within a large, unionised and complex environment.
• Proven experience of building excellent professional relationships, quickly developing rapport based on professionalism, trust and integrity
• Knowledge and experience of employment law, performance, compensation and benefits, successful re-organisation Inc. redundancy / TUPE
• Experience of managing HR casework including attendance, disciplinary and grievances as well as performance management.
