Main duties of the job

This post will involve the development and maintenance of a local governance framework and will be an essential role within the Radiology Centre at The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust. You will promote a positive learning environment where changes are established and embedded across a number of clinical areas. You will ensure there are appropriate systems in place on the reporting, management and investigation of clinical incidents, including root cause analysis as required. You will lead investigations into clinical incidents in an open and just culture to reduce risk and improve the quality and safety of patient care and experience.

You will require excellent communication skills and be a strong, supportive team player with proven influencing and coaching skills, accustomed to working in a challenging, fast-paced environment. The post holder will be a pivotal member of the team and be able to analyse data readily to produce high quality reports and presentations.

This post is full time and will be reporting to the Radiology Centre Manager, working closely with the Lead Superintendent Radiographers and involve working at both hospital sites in Shrewsbury and Telford.
