A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic individual to join the Colorectal TRIOMIC Secretary team at Hollinswood House.  We are looking for motivated and ambitious candidates to provide valuable support to our CNS led urgent suspected cancer clinics. 

Applicants should already possess 4 GCSEs (grades 9-4) or equivalent, knowledge of MS office, general office experience and have a helpful nature, approaching tasks with an enthusiastic and focused attitude. 

Main duties of the job

The post holder will undertake general secretarial duties within the department, helping to ensure an efficient and well-rounded service is provided. They will be expected to meet service needs and work accurately to deadlines with the ability to manage and prioritise their own workload. 

This will include all aspects of secretarial duties, predominantly audio transcribing patient letters and clinical correspondence, alongside scanning, patient calls which may be distressing and any other tasks requested by the CNS team.

As this is the USC CNS clinics, the ability to plan and prioritise a varied and urgent workload is essential, regularly having to rearrange your day due to priorities changing. The candidate should have good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with a variety of staff groups at all levels. The successful applicant will lead a team of two and will gain valuable experience in the day to day management of the USC pathway as well as being part of a new and exciting trial!
