Secondment opportunity - 12 months

An exciting and challenging 12-month secondment/fixed term opportunity has arisen for a Head of Performance within the Strategy and Planning Directorate.   

Due to the criticality of the role, you must be immediately available and have the flexibility to work from our locations in Shrewsbury and Telford. 

 To provide a sense of what the job will look like, the successful candidate will be in a real position to make a difference to how the Trust sets targets, reports and drive performances in the future and provide the operational and strategic leadership that will support achievement of required local and national performance targets and the delivery of excellent patient care by working with and through key stakeholders, including the Executive team.

 In addition, you will work closely with our Senior Leadership Team and Clinical Care Groups to improve the quality of information and the forward-looking analytical capabilities across the Trust. You will use your highly developed analytical and presentational skills to provide assurance on our performance and plans to Board level, both within the Trust and across the wider system.

 Some other examples of the qualities required of the post holder include:

Demonstrably strong operational NHS experience in this area, with an understanding of the challenges and potential solutions to improving our performance.
Highly developed leadership skills with an ability to build successful networks and work collaboratively;
Business focused, sensitive to clinical and political demands with the know how to cut through barriers to change;
Working autonomously and on your own initiative;
An ability to build relationships quickly and work effectively with other senior leaders in the Trust to deliver the right outcomes, whilst ensuring that patient safety and quality of care is maintained and improved;
As a strong team player, you will can engage individuals and teams in delivering the outcomes needed;
